See, that suggests the inverse to me. Sasha can at least have her staff and Bastion take over some times, Ealyn has nothing but snakes in the senate to deal with. Sure, the Lunar Knight commander is on her side, but she’s no politician. (if an adequate secret agent.)
For my part? Luna. Yes, I know, a lot of folks don’t even know she exists. She’s not on the Rapport options, and that’s frankly sad. (There is a title as if she was though! I just need to down Velganos to get it…) Luna’s job is one we actually share and she’s not going to be stuck with more than small scale office politics to deal with.

After South Vern, all the snakes in the senate are essentially dead. Plus, Thar and Avele could likely hold it down long enough for her to get away.

I don’t trust that all of them are done for. But you have a point on Thar and Avele, but that’s only in military matters, which while it’s a major concern, isn’t all a ruler has to deal with even in war time.
Any ‘snake’ in the senate foolish enough to physically show up for their little ‘break the shield’ party isn’t what worries me. What worries me is the prospect of a snake wise enough to see the obvious death trap but still fool enough to go along with the scheme.
