Nah. ilvl doesnt directly correlate to damage potential. If it did… you would never see a 1445-1490 dumpster a 1500 in anything. Yet… its pretty common. Now, taking more damage on ilvl? Sure, thats a given.
Also, they make purple pots that give you 7 uses instead of 5. Incase you didnt know.

I am talking that if you are 1500 ilvl and have for example 5k physical defense, and enter valtan hard for 1445 ilvl, where the boss will take you 50% of your hp (lets say 50k dmg) if you are exact lvl and with 1200 defense for example, with 1500 ilvl you will take less than 10k dmg
This. It is not exactly true. Lots of variables. Sets, gems, tripods, raid knowledge, burst windows, skill points, atrophines or nah, etc.
Ive been trapped by more 1500 sorcs than i have been 1460 scouters. Just saying.
well when this is your alt - its pretty much given that it will have less tripods levels, gems, sets than your main, and if it is lacking ilvl, then it is probably lacking other stuff also
I dont think 1500-1525 qualifies as an alt anymore.
Half the community refuses to make supports in the first place… so if you’re going to claim you’re a " dps main " then you damn well better mean it. Otherwise, dont be upset when people hit decline.
well i believe the conversation is not about being upset or not. Also when your “Main” is summoner, and you just created it before few weeks, if you are not whale it is not as strong as your previous main obviously.
the conversation is about how some delusional people think if you are gate kept, you can easily make your own party and clear the content. And when i told them that you will never get support to apply for your group, they started talking how you can clear any content with no sup on exact lvl and how support is totally usless class that has no place in any party, since you can just dodge all hits.

Why? You dont have a relic set, if you do its set level 1. Other people above meet the listed citeria. If my reaper ruthlessly faced it, your summoner can kick rocks. Dont claim its you " life long dream to be a summoner main " (as an example you listed obviously) and then cheap out on everything. You had nearly a year to save… you didnt need to +25 that alt you had. Right?

well, have you checked the prices for accessory with summoner class engravings?
Like going 4x3 with class engraving is ok. Going 5x3 will cost you maybe 700k gold for low quality.
And yes i have lvl 9 gem on Akir. Tripods are lvl 4,
Did you check the prices for other classes? Scouter? Reaper? Destroyer? Its been the same. The difference is… you are now on the receiving end and its not enjoyable. I mean reaper dropped what, like a month and some change before summoner? It wasnt much different, and still isnt to this day.
Do i agree with it? No, i actually hate it. It only pushes more and more players away. Do i want to be jailed for hours? No, definitely not. Do i have sympathy for new releases? Kind of, however… how many other classes got shit on? A lot. How many other people had to hold off hitting +23 on their " alts " and save for their prospective mains? A lot. It seems to be a resource management issue. Making roughly 100k a week… you could have had over 3 million gold saved for summoner… not including busses, good drops, events, etc.
Again, i dont disagree that its ridiculous at this point. However, understand why a support wouldnt apply to a minimalist dps party. Some do, most do not. It is what it is.
If you think summoner is bad… god help the people actually waiting to play artist. Theyre going to be hit so hard, child protective services will most likely step in.
Oh, you mean the supports that are “boring” and “not needed”, the “they should delete roles”, or the “why do i need a support when i can make a 4 dps pt and finish faster”? Those supports?

personally as a bard (1540 5x3 bard) main, I get more satisfaction from dropping an amazing rhapsody that saves someones life then seeing a big damage number on my surge deathblade alt.
I don’t know about 5/3 not really a big difference with a 4/3 but all I can say is that I play bard too and I enjoy saving players. I even join Normals nowadays just to help lessen the gatekeep.
But I’m only one man and my gunslinger foraging mushroom is getting gatekeep… all I’m saying is that gate 1 and 2 is super easy for pugs with no support as long as they are willing to pay consumables.
The only reason why support might be mandatory for gate 4 is to skip one of the kill mechanics. It makes raids “easier” and cheaper.
It’s funny watching ppl complain about gatekeeping then wanting to structure their parties in the most optimal way possible. If you don’t like gatekeeping be the change you want to see, start making lobbies and accepting anyone.
To be honest is very simple to fixed support
*Party that does not include any support role may use unlimited heath potions.
*Every dps role gets a new ability that grants grants a small regen an applies a small shield for short duration an a 1 minute CD.
Yes it will costs you more gold for being bad and can’t facetank without shields but at least it will help imo.

I think it is more than enough. The problem is we have a standard in NA/EU no “5/3” damage values, no support… no group. Everything damage it is a “speed run” wait for all things to be perfect for a whole hour just to clear it.
Easy, you create a support for Kakul, you find a group that can do DPS/Support rotations and everyone will be happy. But to achieve all this, you need to have a brain and attention, the most difficult thing in this situation is knowing how to use it.
Then hone up, but noooo why would you? Better to be rainbow stats, minimum item level with low gems dps complaining no support wants to join.
