Do you guys think having some in-dungeon guidance/hints populate during gameplay will be super helpful especially for new players?
I am already 1445 and I tried going through youtube guide before playing valtan, but I still didnt survive because I am not able to remember all the mech during the whole game.
I have seen some games that have in-game guidance to help player navigate better during gameplay, and I think that could be super helpful for new players!
Not really. Legion raids are not some normal content that a few hint can help. The only way to learn it is by doing it. Nobody get good first few weeks. It take time. I am now able to do brel on auto pilot not because im some god gamer but i have enough run to figure things out.
Of course all of that with the assumption you learnt mech from video first, everything after is you training yourself through the raid
There’s already a guide element for raids/dungeons (every time there’s a core mechanic, you hear a ding-dong and an overlay with two swords crossed telling you what’s happening will pop on the lower side of your screen), albeit there might not be enough time to read, understand, and react…
But that’s a game flaw. I started a year ago and even after watching many videos and killing many guardians it took me some time to finally get an instinct to counters, staggers, and all that, I’m not sure if they were expecting people to casually hop in the training room back then, but certainly not now in our current rushed state to T3.
