I just hit tier 2, but I do this and watch movies with VLC over my chat… Likely a lot are, you’re correct, but not EVERYONE who sits there and doesnt respond is botting my man.

maybe they think that mob drops the item are u sure its not a named npc ?
I did this today for like 2 hours farming collectibles on my second monitor with sound turned of ingame, while watching videos on my main monitor.
The only thing i did ingame was exactly what you sayed.
When i see the camp spawn i kill it and continue watching videos.
It is not the same, because what you said is a physical input from your keyboard, and I am talking about programed digital inputs in the game(and this is external software).
If the person is pressing a key to do the AOE, then that’s not AFK farming or botting.

On your end, theres no way you can prove that they arent. Again, I agree a lot are, but, you’d have no way to tell the difference between me doing what I said, and a bot by just standing there watching.

I farm herbs & ore around the typical location, where real bots are running through and doing quests. Just because I follow the same path, does that consider myself to be botting?
You should really be 100% sure, when you openly say someone is using botting software or afk mouse macros, without evidence. Plus naming & shaming without proof can get you banned from the forums … just saying

You don’t actually know they are afk though. They could be doing the adventurer’s journal and trying to get collectibles. The name, the ilvl isn’t a gold bot. So many people are getting banned for things they claim they didn’t do don’t report players because they are standing in one place. I was killing cactus to get a collectible drop and just stood there with reverse gravity. I’m def not a bot. I couldn’t even figure out how to use one if you gave it to me 
I hate botters, but at the same time I understand why it happens. It gets braindead repetitive to do the same stuff every day. Endgame for a lot of people is not about having fun. It’s about becoming really powerful haha.

It actually is forbidden to afk farm though. There is something in the TOS about being at your keyboard while you play.

do u have any actual proof they are botting? i literally do what he does to farm adventure tome stuff which isnt botting, i just stand in a good spot where monsters spawn and aoe them down each time.
It’s not AFK farming to stand in one spot doing AoE. Doing AoE requires pressing buttons, which isn’t AFK.
Correct. If you are pressing the button on your keyboard you are not afk. If you use a software that automatically presses it for you at a certain interval, that is cheating.
@Euge_Keepsix please remove the image. You have provided someone’s character name and accused them of something you couldn’t possibly know if they are guilty of or not.
Here’s example - player name & guild tag removed to avoid any issue of forum tos or accusation of unfair / doxing player. This is a general example. I’m in the mouse costume, player botting in corner swinging away at empty air.
Yorn - forgot which map but think was Black Anvil Mine or Iron Hammer. Saw this player camped in corner, standing still but firing off auto attacks and couple paladin skills over and over, even when no mobs present.
Was searching for mokoko well over hour and this bot script player was there when I started and ended. And just to check , couple hours later when finished with roster una and chaos runs, still there hacking away at empty air between the mob spawns.
Reason I believe this is a regular player is because unlike gold bots his gear was what you’d expect upper end player to have - all gold gear, nice engravings, regular guild tag, decent stronghold level.
Like game and no plans to quit anytime soon, but having played lot of Diablo 3 where rampant mat and bot farming was allowed to run unchecked, think I will find another game if LA goes same way where regular players cheat so openly and yet nothing done.

Whether its a bot or a macro it still counts as unattended gameplay. If you suspect someone of this just report them.
