Enjoying the game but

1 chaos/gr a day, not happening. My deputy gm quit after 1 yr

People come in here only to complain that doesnt mean the majority of the playerbase hates the game.

Also, why do you have to listen to what others say? if you so far enjoying the game, keep playing it.

This is why i have said time and time again that making the forums so toxic is only working against the community, but nobody listens to me as usual.

Funny thing is, they are so adamant about “Localizing the game” and censoring everything.
But they can’t see that everyone besides the Koreans likes the hard grind, this must’ve been a localization oddity from our version of the game.

So, do you think the game would have given us half of the things they gave if we weren’t as loud as we are? Should we just accept actions taken against the player progression because we must discuss only “happy things”?
I’m not liking anyone boots because they gave us the game, I just want a game where I don’t feel like something is really wrong.

When did i say that you are not allowed to post your criticism ?

I am not talking about healthy feedback, im talking about the people who comment doomposts all day, people who take everything negatively, people who don’t play the game , but are still in the forums to troll.

There will be trolls everywhere, maybe some are players who wished for the game to be better because they liked it.
People sometimes don’t know how to express themselves.

Pretty sure most are just trolls waiting for the next big hit to doom it all over again.

One thing i have to say for you is to find a guild that is willing to help you learn legion raid, you would begin going into this once you finish punika and hit ilvl 1415 to upgrade your gear. Seeing how normal is somewhat dying or probs even dead now for just a reclear, it will be tough for you to get into a party (ngl this is where the struggle is mostly tbh). Tbf there will be a bus here and there maybe, but those require gold, and you might not be able to manage your gold well if you plan to take bus every week if you are a f2p player, since you will also will have to focus on honing, recent change does nerf the cost for lower ilvl honing, but you still require a bit amount of rng to succeed, and from there on, the route is pretty much the same once you reach the min ilvl for the next legion raids. So have yourself to find people to play and willing to let you learn these raids.

Absolutely, i know that the raids are not for everyone and if you dont get any kind of enjoyment from them, you dont have to do them. But its really hard to try and make the decision about liking them, if you havent tried them, in OP’s case.

Wait up, it’s part of the game progression.
To participate in Rowen’s pvp you need to be 1490, which is impossible without relic sets, which is only obtainable via Legion hard raids.
And it’s going to get worse with the release of new continents, story progression, islands, horizontal content, etc.

bus for your set, and hone from there lol. And rowen as progression/new content is a bit of a silly claim

It’s the example I have live at the game right now.

Edit: about the bus, never supported busses, never did one, never participated in one.
My mentality is that, the game should be more friendly with their players, the gold players are paying are the gold they need to hone, the content they should be enjoying and learning is being skipped because it’s frustrating, the players who are carrying is focusing everyone resources, becoming stronger and gatekeeping content, hoping for everyone to be as strong as they are.

That’s why I have made learning parties, joined lobbies and helped and or suffered along other players, because that’s a game should be about, playing it.

That was more of a joke at Rowen’s expense, but if, for whatever reason, that raiding isnt something that you want to do. There are things to get around it, through bussing, or being carried out right, But if the end game legion raids don’t grab your attention, there isnt alot left outside of either balanced pvp, or open world pvp, to keep you around.
We don’t have life skills, crafting like FFXIV does, so its a bit harder to keep a player that doesnt want to raid playing

In everything in life, you get “Karens”…that no matter what happens, good or bad…people complain. I persoanlly think after last update game will be in a very good place for 2 months atleast. I have been playing since launch and still having a blast. Playing games you just need to ignore negativity…people been crying about popular games for years, but they still going.

I’ll try to exemplify my reasoning.

Raids are fun, to a certain extent.
While game bosses and coordination between players are a great idea to make fun content, it is also overly exaggerated in difficulty.
Missread one valtan axe movement, dead.
Missed one Vykas orb, dead.
Ping got a little too high during clown saws, dead.
One player didn’t stagger their mob on brel, dead, dead, dead.

And every time that happens, it was because one person or another missed a simple thing, 10 minutes becomes half an hour, that becomes 2 hours, that becomes a jail, that becomes your entire day.

One must admit when a game is flawed, when it’s a bad design, when something makes you angry at others on the internet instead of being a happy gaming time.
I have seen and played enough of this game to know what I’m talking about.

But if I must stay out of the game content because I don’t like it, I guess it’s best if drop the game already.

Yeah i’ve also been playing since launch and im pretty happy with the state of the game.

Im quite curious of how things will go with Brel HM , but that’s pretty much it.

Aside from the ping in clown scenario, every other one of those situation is a scripted and programmed pattern at set bars though. Valtan doesnt have mix ups with his swings, Vykas will tell you what orb to grab at what time, Players know what the stagger mech will look like in brel. No raid mechanic is going to sneak up on a party and its up to the individual player and party to be ready for those mechs when they appear.

I 100% agree the game is flawed. Honing is a dogshit system for progression. 3 entry counts on the 5 possible raids players have access to is dogshit. Paying a made up market tax to polish up your Party Finder resume is a dogshit player market system. But the Combat is great. The combat is the best out of an mmo i have played in a long time and its the reason that i have sunk 2800 hours into the game. Amazon has made some blunders, but this is the best state the game has been since launch.
Slap an edit in here

Realistically, No story content is tied behind legion raids after a bit of digging, Rowen at 1445, Elgacia at 1460, with the Normal mode dungeon at 1475. Nothing is forcing you to actually run the legion raids, if raiding is something you want no part in

Not really. It’s more the other way round. Since the game is really great and fun, the people that don’t survive have no backbone or are just stupid. Leaving this beautiful game makes no sense at all. People should stop to fomo and just enjoy the game,

I agree to 50 percent: The game is good, yes. The combat is more than good, yes.
But the design how the game is made, isn’t.

If you introduce six gold earners, let me decide on which character I can farm gold and no, I don’t want to make additional alts or the same character six times and even if I have to, let me decide where I can grind that shit.

Next issue: cards. grinding for cards without a pity is a no go, same for quality and even same for if you want to drop money.

If they claim that LA is a marathon, then delete the AH and make gold untradeable.

And no, I don’t enjoy 12 weeks of grinding chaos dungeon, caligos and doing legion raids to get a mill of gold that I can afford my first ancient soon. And in that time you can’t spend a single gold coin. You can speed it up if you bus every raid. But well, in my opinion, I only bus for fun and not for gold (because its not worth).

What are the circumstances we will have to deal with soon? Ancient and akkan gear.
Like 3 months ago I had a discussion with a friend. He bought some slots for new characters and dropped a bit money for skins. So he is almost f2p. He was argueing the same way like you: don’t fomo, take it slow, enjoy the game.
Yesterday he turned like 180 degrees: “Everything got so expensive, I even can’t afford working on my main at the moment”. And I tell you, this guy has 5,4h in LA.

Sorry, everyone who value his life and his lifetime does not waste it that way. And if you do, then, well, there is something horribly wrong and if you lead a normal life with family, work and kids… well… either you have incredible honing luck or you have to swipe.

I’m a heavy spender myself with 4,2h in the game, did almost every horizontal stuff but was paying for some characters to avoid that unrewarding system.

I’m really, really, really glad I didn’t spend a single dime on character slots or skins so far, even when it was enticing.

It’s painful already to do the 6 free slots.

This game is not for the casual player, not by a long shot.
