I agree to 50 percent: The game is good, yes. The combat is more than good, yes.
But the design how the game is made, isn’t.
If you introduce six gold earners, let me decide on which character I can farm gold and no, I don’t want to make additional alts or the same character six times and even if I have to, let me decide where I can grind that shit.
Next issue: cards. grinding for cards without a pity is a no go, same for quality and even same for if you want to drop money.
If they claim that LA is a marathon, then delete the AH and make gold untradeable.
And no, I don’t enjoy 12 weeks of grinding chaos dungeon, caligos and doing legion raids to get a mill of gold that I can afford my first ancient soon. And in that time you can’t spend a single gold coin. You can speed it up if you bus every raid. But well, in my opinion, I only bus for fun and not for gold (because its not worth).
What are the circumstances we will have to deal with soon? Ancient and akkan gear.
Like 3 months ago I had a discussion with a friend. He bought some slots for new characters and dropped a bit money for skins. So he is almost f2p. He was argueing the same way like you: don’t fomo, take it slow, enjoy the game.
Yesterday he turned like 180 degrees: “Everything got so expensive, I even can’t afford working on my main at the moment”. And I tell you, this guy has 5,4h in LA.
Sorry, everyone who value his life and his lifetime does not waste it that way. And if you do, then, well, there is something horribly wrong and if you lead a normal life with family, work and kids… well… either you have incredible honing luck or you have to swipe.
I’m a heavy spender myself with 4,2h in the game, did almost every horizontal stuff but was paying for some characters to avoid that unrewarding system.
