Equalized content is unfair

Guardian Raid event is a bad example since the CD reduction on even just the first set of buffs changes everything.

but how? if you reduce the spec stat from 1.5k to 1.2k, both shadowhunter and soul fist lose the same amount of raw damage from 300 spec (% wise), but on top of that shadowhunter has to wait another 15-20 seconds to transform since you need to wait for skills to go off cooldown to transform

  1. Di is 30% crit rate and it’s fixed unlike other classes
2.sh doesn’t get affected by tripod lvl bc tripods in sh don’t increase dps
3.your skill rotation is not affected unlike other classes where their dps depends on swift

Sh just get least affected by equalization compared to others

We lose damage, cdr, attack speed and it increases our downtime a lot as well. Without gems we can’t really do our rotation during hype either.

Shadowhunter and soul fist are the 2 hardest scaling classes with spec in the game. Being so dependant on tripods and gems are another thing which shadowhunter can get away with more. Finally unlike shadow hunter, more of soul fists damage is in hype, which equates to over 80% of our damage.

Tldr we feel your pain.

There is no actual equalized content you need to worry about till Hell Modes idk what ur going about lol

Abyss guardians come out this patch which is equalized

What? my shadowhunter is fine in the event LOL

Some people don’t know how to play their class

you cannot be serious, do you really believe sh does 20% of its damage in human form?

he’s talking about soulfist

I’m talking from a soul fist perspective. You are not as gimped as soul fist. Soul fist is specifically one of the reasons hell mode numbers are so dramatic as pointed out for LOA ON winter. We were pending to get changes that actually help address that but the community rejected them.

Shadow hunter on the other hand performs well in hell mode and is not in the serious issues soul fist has.

yeah but hype generates at the same rate regardless of your spec stat, so all you lose is damage in hype, shadowhunter loses damage in demon form on top of increasing the human time which is not even able to scratch bosses

that’s not true. hype downtime reduces with more spec

No. Hype regenerates at 50 seconds base, reduced by how much spec we have. In addition, in hype mode our damage, cdr, attack speed are all increased by spec. We cannot increase this by anything other than spec. No wealth No nothing. And without adequate hype, we cannot fit skills in there and literally have to hold them for next hype. If you use some skills in downtime it takes on a huge damage loss too.

We are also highly dependant on ready attack tripods. Its the difference between 30% extra damage on a big hit to 56%.

I did not know sf can increase the identity meter generation, but in that case those two classes should be at par in how much dps they lose, sh does not lose damage from its tripods but instead lose identity meter gain from the tripods which affects her dps the same way, failing to transform in a rotation locks you from doing any damage other than basic attacks for up to 20 seconds

but back to the topic at hand- the current equalized content we have are easy enough that the lost stats don’t matter

what tripods are you using that cause you to lose identity meter gain ??? LOL

So you have better downtime than us, are no where near as gem and tripod dependant, and you arent affected by skill cd.

Btw. If SF could have 100% uptime with hype, you would never touch SF damage.

One last note. A lot of SF damage is dependant on ult, again, nerfed by the tripod (30% more to 56% more) and extra spec. Shadow hunter, and no other class in the game is as dependant on ult as sf

yeah I agree that it is not needed since everything is very trivial, but it still feels horrible to play a shadowhunter compared to an artilerist or a sorc in this kind of scenarios

just don’t use SH to do adv islands and what not, if it’s that big of a deal to you. unless you don’t wanna play alts, but that’s another topic
