imagine pretending you have an argument against this post.
Servers should have the language tag and thats a benefit we could enjoy without downsides. Its a proven fact.
EDIT: for this post and the SA post. wich both are on the same boat.

I think servers should just have a language chat for each biggest languages in Europe such as German, Spanish and French for example. It would prevent communities clashes in the global chat as everyone who have their game in their native language would automatically enter their chatâs language.
Most of the endgame content is cross-servers and with the party finder system you would just need to put [Language] in your title to find people from your country.
Language tag could just kill a server as many people would dodge them for example Spanish or French and it would result in a low population server.
With Rowen we could see communities clashing there instead of dodging their servers and it could be really fun.
Well obv. the question is here: How big is the german/french/spain etc. community gonna be.
If you think that Lost Ark wonât have that many players in the long run (obv. there will be no problem in the first few weeks) then youâre probably right. But if Lost Ark will manage to atleast get the same player numbers like swtor, then german/french should be big enough for its own Server.
I donât know what the right answer is to this question. I prefer a german server but still: If my german client automatically joins a german global chat (likewise a french client joins a french global chat) on the same server it should be okay I guess. Really depends on the player count.
There is no right answer to this question but only choices which will result in different situations.
It depends first on how many people are willing to play within their community server and for myself I donât see myself playing in my country server as I tend to prefer playing with international communities and meeting new friends. I guess I am not the only one here and that is why I do think it might hurt the game in the long run if we go for a language tag.
Letâs just imagine one big streamer who is not from the english community goes in an âinternational serverâ and then all his community join him then it would ruin the language balance of the server.
There are too many situations where an international server could become oneâs community in few hours because of external factors. Having a language chat is easy to put in a game however it will never satisfy everyone. If it was possible I would have prefer a single server but Lost Ark is not a small indie game.
Any news on this topic? they are saying âunofficiallyâ servers for each language, but we also donât want people who donât follow social networks to miss out
I guess we need to wait for Amazon, they are not even working there yet as it should be around 7 am
Agreed, lets wait for Amazonâs response. This is the last message from roxx regarding this topic:
They donât really have to overthink it. It doesnât have to be a very complex solution that scans chat so that people only right in the correct language or stupid stuff like that.
Just show some language tags during server selection. Few minutes work is more than enough.
This is not a case of IF, its a case of MUST. Majority of players gonna be new to the game, how are we able to communicate tactics? Through Mokoko stickers?
The server tags will help to make more sense of general chat and finding compatible guilds.
But as far as dungeons & raids is concerned, they are cross-server if Iâm not mistaken.
So you will still be playing with people from other language servers unless you make a premade party from your server.
@Roxx
Any update? Itâs less than 8 days until launch
We really only need a small description in server selection, but it would be so important.
You do understand it is not about people not beeing allowed to speak their language ? but that it is about redirecting the majority speakers of those languages to the servers that speak mostly the same language.
Having to many different languages at once in a global chat is like beeing in a room where everyone talks at the same time and it is very hard to hear what every individual is saying.
Ton of people do not even speak any of these 4 languges listed in your image as their native tounge, yet we speak the majority languge in global chat out of courtesy and play on servers that we can understand what is beeing said.
Not everything is about people trying to exclude others, it is about trying to gather people with the same understanding of what information is beeing said in the shared room with the least ammount of headache in the process.
@Roxx please save us, im refreshing the forums all day just to see good news about this. Would be a shame since theres basically no downsides to having tags, and the benefits are plenty < 3
do you understand that you were locked out of basically 90% of the guilds in the servers since probably 90% of the guilds speak russian, 90% of the players to interact, make friendships, have adventures together are gone. And why would everyone on the west would have to suffer that? whats the benefit of NOT having tags? im eager to know your reasoning behind your words.
depends if you are playing SP or MMO imo
But the real question: do ESP still coming to Wei or they made a different choice?
So, when the community managers go ask for an update on a topic, does it work at the same pace as the New World feedback (because that can take months).
What we need is for someone with guts at AGS to go onto the website and edit the post about the servers and put preferred (not mandatory) language tags next to each server and call it an executive decision because feedback was too slow. You might get promoted.
You guys do understand that people do not work on weekends, right? Also, I would imagine it was obvious that Community Manager doesnât make decisions and everything has to go through a proper pipeline to higherups that can make a decision.
Iâve been working in Games Industry for 10years, so I can tell you, chill out and wait. Nothing is quick and the people managing community need to follow up with people that make decisions that also are busy prior to launch with launch itself. Itâs been 1 day since @Roxx could even try to address this topic on AGS side.
Your post is really nice Renton.
Weâll need tags on the servers.
Necesitaremos etiquetas en los servidores. estarĂa bien
