As a developer myself I tell you it is best to not chill out 1 week before launch.
Especially because a lot of managing people are slow, it is often important to remind them of important stuff. I hate clients like that, taking days for a simple decision and we can work overtime later because “launch is tomorrow, this has to be done”…

yeah this has to be one of the priority number 1 things and the language tags should be out very fast ! second point is, they need to mark the language tags INGAME TOO. the majority of the community dont take a look at forums or reddit. they will start the game and pick a server. and then it will be a mess @Roxx

From what I can tell from this is that you’re either freelancing web dev or working is a team with couple of people. I can understand your view point.
I know how things are running on AAA titles especially in intenational teams with IP holders / owners being separate from publishing / contracted external team to do a particular job.
Poking people and bumping up subjects can help but doesn’t have to. Stuff like this is not #1 priority for launching the game in a week time. You can believe me or not but I’ve been through the cycle many times before and software development is different from games development. I have nothing to gain from conviencing you otherwise. I’m just giving you guys some insight from my experience.
yeah thats right, im working for an software development company too and yeah for them there are much bigger things on the list for launch . BUT i think language tags are not that important for them (or on the list) because they dont notice or think about that point. they can (and if u ask me → they MUST) adapt and make this point top 5 of points to do before launch. otherwise they are destroy there EU/NA release and players will leave pretty early if they notice that they are fucked up there pre order skins or anything because they are on a mostly spain server as a german. its just my point of view so no offense bros

None taken bro. Just telling everyone how stuff work usually, so people can try and understand why they didn’t get an answer (or the subject addressed) on the weekend. I do understand the problem with avatars being server locked, trust me. No need to be a doomer or expect turnaround of a day or less for community manager to come back with something if they need to go through bunch of people to understand what the answer would be

yeah for sure ! another point of view might be: yell as loud as we can, post it on every thread and create new ones so they notice about the communities concern. the more people yelling, the more they taking this seriously. if our customers want anything, we (at my company) will do anything to serve them what they want.
Yes please, I don’t want to end up with french communities, the language-based servers are necessary.

Avatars being server locked is btw THE problem. Because Founder’s Pack skins are basically server locked. Do we wait a week before we use our skins just in case? Is that even enough? Better 2 weeks? A month? That can’t be the solution.
do u 100% know there is no countdown to use it ? if there is no timer, u can let it in your account poket. but if u take it to your character bag it will be bound to this character on this server.
In RU you could store bought / acquired items indefinitely in the “delivery box” from what I remember.

some people might need them to find more people that speak their own language because they either don’t want to or can not speak english well or at all. That is totally fine and you being here say “we don’t need that, speak English” is actually pretty discriminating against these people. Stop being toxic.
