EUW low population short term solution

I know that playing an MMO in a low population server greatly reduces the enjoyment and interaction that this type of games are supposed to deliver.

The most obvious solution, done by almost every gaming company, for low population servers is server merging.

I understand that Smilegate did not yet created a streamlined process to merge servers so maybe we can think about other solution.

What if the MATCHMAKING/FIND PARTY of Integrated Dungeons can be cross server integrating EUC + EUW? Also, making MARKET cross server EUC + EUW.

This solution would solve probably 90% of the problems caused by EUW low population.

the problem you have is this.
EUC is located within a datacentre in Frankfurt Germany
Whilst EUW is located in a datacentre in Dublin Ireland or London England.
You can find this information here
Doing matchmaking connections between regions like that would create issues generally, instance servers will be tied to regions as that’s where the infrastructure is located, so shipping a character from EUW to EUC to do an instance would create potential problems.

However there is potentially a solution that could be applied to remedy the issue somewhat and is kind of drastic but plausible.

I would assume that they have disaster recovery in place for the servers, so it would ultimately depend on where the DR was setup to go to. The potential solution is setup DR to go from EUW to EUC then during a maintenance window fail over the servers from EUW to EUC.
From here work can then be done to integrate EUW servers into the matchmaking of EUC.
You then effectively close the market place for new listings 3 days prior and let the market drain itself and then incorporate EUW into the EUC marketplace.
