The market is region wide.
How didn’t you expect this, when moving to EUW?
I feel ur pain. It’s not ur fault at all. Just ignore people who say that’s your fault…
That’s why I said it was mismanaged. Goldriver has not published anything significant in the west and had no experience in managing expectations here, remember, just Europe alone has a market 12 times the size of Korea. Amazon should have done that market study, which is not hard with their resources. They even had an estimate with preorders for the headstart, which was also extremely congested and unplayable.
Tell me how can u justify adding 3 regions for NA and just 2 for Europe if not by completely missing the mark? They have a lot of data on MMO releases and expected player flow, it’s not rocket science. AGS even had their own experience with New World being unplayable by a badly managed server structure.
Even EUC is losing popularity. Sure, you can still make groups very easily during peak hours, but at odd hours it is no longer possible. Guess a lot of people that love MMO’s went back to classis WoW. Hopefully they will be back for Kakul Saydon.
don’t worry LA is already as dead as new world anyway.
- Many of the population in EUW is post que era as EUW is default server for EU from April if i don’t mistake. And most of the people don’t visit the forums as well.
- Amazon stated this only in the forums when they created EUW.
- As a publisher they could insist from SG to start working on the tech for region merge. Because today is EUW, tomorrow will be NAW and SA.
- When you spent more then 500 euro in the game, are you going to switch so easy and start over to spent the same amount for the same thing. If you have ton of money and don’t respect them yes you can, but most people doesn’t have such luxury.
For the OP. I don’t use MM for any dungeons, there are always groups in the party finder. About the event. I visited once, still i have over 50K points from daily stuffs with my main and 7 alts. EUW is still playble, but the market is in really bad condition.
bump
? When did that happen. I have never had any issues queueing up. Even at 9 am in the morning my time (which is 7am server time)
who are you talking about the OP played since launch and that goes for pretty much everyone else that makes thread about EUW state.
People that just start the game will notice region/server they play on is completly dead and switch.
+999999
the analogy works perfectly cause the OP did this to himself, he had the option of both waiting for the queues on EUC to get fixed by doing something else or playing something else or just switch back to EUC 1-2 weeks after he started EUW cause the problem got solved.
But instead he is just blaming AGs/Smilegate instead of just recognizing he made a bad choice and ripping the bandaid
No, it does not. The OP was recommended by Amazon Game Studios, the actual managers of the game, to join a non-congested region in a time where you had 6-10 hour queues, to fix their gaming experience. AGS even gave out incentives and special login events to incentivise this.
This isn’t your scam artist trying to get you to do something, this is the actual company that’s behind the game, recommending you something.
This is my last reply ever to you. I’m seeing your profile and almost your comments are toxic af.
Have a nice “life” dude. Hope you are having fun.
I will thank you, hope you have fun blaming everyone else for problems you create.
Nice idea to join a region launched 10 days after launch to dodge queues
What could have gone wrong ?
They said people that went over to EUW would experiance less queues which was 100% the case since less people were and would be playing on the region. But if you have ever played a game before you know player number spike on launch and then drop heavily after first weeks.
So there was an option to just not play the game untill the region became stable again, which wouldnt set you back at all. But alot of people decided to just jump region and now blame AGs/Smilegate when majority of players didnt move over to EUW or stayed in the game at all.
By that logic EUW shouldn’t have existed, because if everyone did what you are saying no one would have switched and the region would be populated by 0 people.
If players didn’t switch to EUW to alleviate some of the login issues, the issues could have persisted for much longer.
It’s mismanagement on AGS’s part plain and simple.
Let me tell you that you are not justifying anything. You are trying to dismiss AGS’ responsibility for an extremely bad-managed launch by just saying players were short-sighted. That says nothing in favor of your argument.
AGS, as management of the game, have full responsibility for their customer’s experience being extremely bad. Your own words prove me right in the sense that it was predictable, especially for AGS, that EUW servers were going to be dead in a few weeks. This further increases the blame on AGS for bad management. Did they incentivize going to EUW quite heavily in the knowing that the region was going to die?
I do not understand why you are trying to make this the customer’s responsibility when, again, it was the management of the game that recommended and incentivised changing to this region to have less server congestion and a better experience.
The region should still have been made but it should have been there for launch, This tho wouldnt change the fact that one region would have way less players, since alot of people and guild try and flock to the same region/server.
Gold river expected 200k people to play the game but game had over 1mil for launch, they underestimated the western audiance so fucking much.
