They are even completely inept to do transfers in a larger scale on one server pool so I wouldn’t get my hopes up for this. On the same server pool they don’t have a problem with duplicate names now if they want to merge another server pool everyone from EUW would like need to change their names.
Then have players change their names. I’m pretty sure they’d gladly change it, if it means that they can actually play the game and not have an AH that is quite literally empty and a groupfinder that is absolutely dead outside of primetime

Yep… I remember from old MMO games where they merged servers and character names were server-wide (not region-wide). They offered that you can keep your name when you login until a specific date. If 2 players had the same name, you were able to change the name for free. If you didn’t, your character was renamed after a specific schema (basically your name + some random numbers) and you still had the name change ticket option (this was more for players which quit the game before but decided to give it another shot after months).
I would love to change my name on characters where i need to, just to have EUC matchmaking/AH prices…
Matchmaking/PartyFinder and AH in EUW is completly ridiculous. The amount of gold I’ve spent on 1370 legendary gear for my alts is insane compared to the prices on EUC…

Hmm this video is very worrying. Not only about EUW but EUC as well. I though it will be a lot more groups there, even if it is Monday noon. They need to make one global server - NA,EU and SA together.
Yeah, I’m simply not gearing my alts. Legendary stones are 1000+ gold a piece (pheons not included) and decent accessories are incredibly rare too.

what? The number of groups in EUC for 12pm while the majority of people is at work, is still more than enough. No need for one big server imo
yeah dude, there is a new game out, you’re hyped because you think it’s good, and then tell someone to just wait for 2 weeks or more (nobody knew at that time how long it will take) to just play the game. Like I came home from work at around 4.30-5pm and the game was just unplayable.
If the name change thing is really a problem, then just don’t merge the regions, but matchmaking and AH should be for both regions. If you’re in a lobby with someone from the other region, then just add .EUW or .EUC behind their names and you’re good to go. Then merge some servers on EUW so we have like 2 big servers in total instead of 8 servers which are underpopulated to help guilds and server events like chaos gate/field bosses whatsoever

yeah this seems right, if i dont do my raids on weekends im fucked basically.
and switching is not an option, im gonna keep playing on EUW as much as i can, but if the server dies im just gonna quit lol.

I’m really hoping we hear what the devs have planned for EUW sooner rather than later. I want to know if I’m essentially wasting my time playing on the region (1400 hours and counting). I won’t re-roll onto EUC, I’d rather quit at this point.
Can we get some answers as to what the plans are, please?

They’ve been “considering options to deal with the situation” for a while, meaning that nothing will happen except for a potential server merge meant to help the less populated servers do field bosses and chaos gates. I don’t think AGS is particularly happy with this situation either, and I can see why they just don’t know what to tell us - they don’t have enough flex as a publisher to push these Korean amateurs into giving a shit about what happens to the West as a whole, never mind a small vocal fraction of it.
What a huge disappointment.
Lets be honest. They have abandoned us and at the moment there is no indication that anything will change. Any response from the AGS could give hope, but they prefer to take it away entirely.

thank you. this right here, keep trying to drill it into people who keep comparing EUW vs EUC. Day 1 or Day 1000 EUW release, was always going to be a smaller population base on EUW.
Pack it up boys, it looks like they’re just looking at server to server merges which doesn’t address this problem at all.

what stones are u buying ? o.O got 10 relic stones (until i did hit 7 7 ) for 350g each on euw
