Not much to say… Tower lvl 48 is just dumb and i tried literally everything. Firebomb 3x etc etc etc … But why is the damage completly wrong?
Only thing I can assume is defense calculations on the boss but no idea really
Would make sense but then i cannot finish Tower Lvl 48… 
The only thing you can probably do is just wait till you are higher ilvl and try then
