One thing I have been curious about is does each engraving and stat on jewelry carry the same weight? For example does Grudge have the same % change to roll as say MP Increase. Does Dominion have the same % chance to roll as swiftness, etc.
It is likely weighted to give us more of the ‘bad’ engravings. The percentages change depending on the content you’re doing.
Eg: Valtan will have better odds for engravings than chaos dungeons.
Domination used to be meta stat when things like taunt used to count as a debuff but it was too OP and got nerfed… but it’s still decent in PvP. Necromancy also used to be OP but then it got nerfed like fk and now it’s useless too.
A lot of these crap engravings and items actually used to be really good but now they’re crap leftovers from different times. I think most of these should be changed to allow for more build diversity. You already have a very low chance of a legendary book dropping why shit on the player and troll them with useless garbage?

It’s just that combining the low odds makes good items really hard to get.

No, raid stuff only has better quality. Chaos dungeon stuff is weighted towards low quality, legion raid stuff is almost always above 70. But the odds for stats and engravings are the same.
The only other than that’s better is chance 5+3 instead of 3+3 or 4+3. You can’t even get 3+3 relic from legion raids, much like you couldn’t get legendary 2+2 from abyss. While chaos dungeon dropped plenty of 2+2 legendary.
you know the funniest thing of all? In the future, when we have 6 complete engravings and the possibility to use 7th engraving , the support will probably use this lol

Oh for sure, I have seen good drops. Was just curious if it was all weighted even or if they were intentionally skewed to help maintain rarity

This very usefull in terms of GvG. Throwing extra battle items is one key to win the war.
Just my opinion.
Is it more useful? Sure. But there is an opportunity cost.
Is it more useful that pretty much any other engraving? Nah.
Used in hellmode on supports to throw more dark nades and other consumables to improve raid/party DPS.
Darknades is effective for 20sec for all 8 members of a raid. 3 more of these guys can make a noticible difference.
Also a specific bomb used in vykas as well(no spoilers).

Can be * not everyone uses it, and in general it is not very necessary.
Edit: anyway, in hell mode all the conjugation of the build is free because of the book of cordination
It doesn’t need to be necessary or meta but rather an option. Too bad most content do not use it as damage gates are a lot more lax.
Support has the option to use it actually, later raids have harder destruction/ stagger check values and buffing your whirlwind and destruction bomb can be useful.
Because of this use vital point, not explosive. Vital point in the slot of heavy armor.
Can you explain it a little bit more why is it not that useful?
Bard has good stagger, but on a paladin VPH won’t make a difference, like ever.
I get around 10% party stagger in 8 man raids and I even have both legendary overwhelms. Is it worth wasting swiftness and an engraving slot for VPH? To get extra 3% stagger accross the raid? Most definitely not.
If you want VPH via accessories, you’ll have a really hard time finding high quality ones and it’s not worth losing even 50 swiftness total for it.
If you get it with +12 in slot which is cheap, then you have to buy ridiculously expensive combos with two of the three mandatory engravings which have a huge cost.
