I will be very honest with you F2P player! I have a great friend who has worked as a Game Dev in the past.
Big companies don’t care about you, maybe just to make a little volume and they work on marketing that the game was a success and attract more players. What moves the world is money, and as long they have players spending 10k USD daily, it will stay that way.
The biggest problem is that greed ends up blinding many companies and leads to the premature death of the game.
You will hear promises and promises about change, but there will only be changes when they start to see that they are losing control of the situation.
Why do you think they are so desperate to ban bots? because soon sites will start to appear selling gold and taking money from them.
Especially if you don’t have time to level up 10 chars for T3 to be able to farm material because you have to work.
Why should they care about people giving them 0 revenue?
We go from one extreme to the next like it makes sense.
This whale vs ftp nonsense is ridiculous. How about supporting the game normally, with like 20 euros or something per month and enjoying it fully? Isn’t that an option too?
You can exchange $ for gold buy all the material you want and level up and enjoy all the good content… while F2P will be doing 10 hours of Chaos Dungeon daily for 1 month to farm half of it.
This is just wrong on every level. Just because a player doesnt invest anything now doesnt mean they wont in the future. Making a game that only appeals to whales would fail so hard over in this market.
