I as a female WANT sexy skins. And i want all the options that are present on other versions of the game.
I do not want someone pushing their twisted view of what i am supposed to want or think as a gamer for their own benefit and gratification.
Your “morally good” opinion you can keep for yourself.
Also most majority of the players do want skins of KR , RU or JP.
Why should they be able to have them but not us?
Shall we also make male characters less manly so they do not appear more masculine?

I’ve seen multiple takes from the girl side about the sexy skin topic and more often than not they had the exact same view on it. Like other people trying to put words in their mouth or decide things on their behalf, it’s just cringe.
It’s so hard to wrap my head around why people want to come into a space that already has a target audience and then try to force their own shitty worldview that even they don’t believe in on everyone that just wants the things they signed up for in the first place.

I’m an adult woman and I am able to decide on my own what I like and how I want to dress my pixel char and what I want to wear in rl, thank you very much.
Oh how much I want to punch up those ppl, this isn’t any better than the “sexualization” they accuse skimpy skins to be (which would be awesome cosplays by the way).

Yeah not sure how this happened. I think someone just came up with this shit and then they decided to roll with it but then it snowballed into complete retardation from reasonable concerns and actively ruins entertainment products that have nothing to do with real life issues.
It’s just weird as shit. And even if it was the case and it’s an actual real world problem, wouldn’t it make sense for victims of it to want to escape to MADE UP things and act in ways they couldn’t in real life? Like that’s also kind of what the whole fantasy and roleplay thing is supposed to entail so people like that are actively working against it while saying they’re for it.

isn’t that funny that in Asia, artistic representation of male and female bodies is something they can’t genetically achieve - huge muscular chads and big breasted chicks with huge eyes. It is their fantasy, its something they can’t experience is real life so they put it into Art.
US/EU wants Art to be as accessible and as lookalike to consumer as possible, so they can RP the character or something and to avoid Little Bertha and Django Joe making a blogs how some “fictional fantasy Art” is oppressive for them.
I don’t really give a crap if i can see panties in a game or not, as long as what i am seeing is the artistic vision of the creator. I wont ask for Mona Lisa to be repainted black just because i am Afro-American - and thats essentially what they are doing with LA

People would do better if they shared this mindset
Considering the success of stuff like mangas and animes in the west I disagree. Or comics, the western pendant, a big deal in NA and at least Belgium & France (there are more for sure).
But I guess this is going too much OT now.
Still related to the thread imo, the nature of the things mentioned so far could very well be behind the reasoning for the way ags is westernizing this release + any comment is good for visibility as long as it’s not just rolling your face on your keyboard or straight up trolling.
More people seeing the thread = more awareness for the points raised. I think a lot of people just don’t know any of these, and even if people who visit the forums are savvier than just a random player there are still a LOT of them that just have no clue of any of this because of how they have been swept under the rug.

considering that every single corporate’s decision is driven by money and money only, i would assume that Anime/Manga market is too niche for them to bother or waste resources westernizing. Fans of the genre are also known to be quite “diehard” and rejective of any sort of westernization (basic stuff like voice acting for example) - also getting the source material is usually easy and free/cheap to get, so not much money to be made making changes

This exactly - in this case they told Smilegate that theese change are necessary even tho they wasnt, and they milk money from Smilegate - its literally creating a paying job from nothing. Nobody rly asked for this. They created this problem to get payed.

Really? In France comics take up an own section in shops and libaries, same goes for mangas in my country, now comics follow since the past few years. You can even buy a lot of them in railway station shops. It’s been out of niche in EU for a long time now. My children will grow up with animes I watched as a child, as many others will. You have cosplays and events on every big book convention for years now.
It’s not a little dirty hobby of nerds anymore, just like games.
Edit: It is much harder to buy a spezialiced book about the stars, the universe, time and space, string theory than to buy a manga. I just bought such books for myself as chrismas present, that’s why I provide this as an example. Or try to buy some figures for Warhammer/Warhammer 40k tabletop. Also difficult (I have a Gameswork shop not far away, yay, but otherwise I would have to buy it online cause this is a real niche).
Yes, I have some wired interests that doesn’t match in any way and seem to be totally random.
