While my social circle is admittedly a small sample size of the playerbase, I wanted to relay some feedback that I’ve been hearing about bots, and specifically the efforts that have been taken to get rid of them.
On the one hand, many are grateful that you are taking the issue seriously, but at the same time we have many concerns.
At the top of the list is the fact that every measure taken against the bots feels like it punishes players at the same time. Two of the more notable recent issues have been reducing gold sources without providing alternatives for legitimate players, and the VPN ban.
If the VPN ban did little to nothing to actually stop or prevent the bots (since they clearly have workarounds to this solution), why is it still in place? This seems like a bad solution that punishes honest players more than it does the bots.
For gold, mats, etc, please going forward, consider solutions that are ROSTER BOUND, not BOUND. Bound is one of the most toxic systems in this game when it comes to progression materials. Roster bound, on the other hand, accomplishes many of the same goals Bound does, but is far less punishing for the players than Bound often ends up being.
The common sentiment though still remains, more is being done that harms players than stops bots.
