For Canada Outage on July 8th and those affected by it

I am writing this topic to bring to attention to an issue many Canadians had on July 8th.

For those who don’t know, Canada had a nationwide outage due to one of its biggest service providers going offline. This not only meant lost of cell or internet services for some, but also the lost of access to emergency services like 911. During this time which affected a large number of people, we also were not able to login to Lost Ark (Not the most important of issues but it does create a problem).

The problem. This lies in the Login event, which normally gives players leeway in case they miss a day or two. However, due to maintenance being pushed one day earlier, there is no leeway and you must login consecutively everyday (June 30th to July 19th - 20 days consecutively) or you miss out o valuable reward. In this case, it is the “Cutie Headband”.

I can understand that Amazon/Smilegate might not be able to extend the login event, but I hope they can give a “Cutie Headband” to those Canadians who were affected.

We love the game, we login everyday and the nationwide outage was unprecedented and we are currently penalized for something that is at no fault of our own.

I hope Amazon/Smilegate can help us.

Purpose of this is to bring awareness, as well as reach out to other people who were affected by the outage.

Hey there @Jelleefish!

I’m sorry to know what happened, and I hope everything is OK now.

I understand your situation, these kind of outages are unexpected and as you mentioned, it might not be the biggest of the issues, but it does affect our game progression when it comes to receiving daily login rewards.

Right now, there’s no news about extensions to the login rewards event and, even though this outage was totally unexpected, we don’t have an option to compensate players affected by it, my apologies for any inconvenience this might cause.

If there’s anything else I can do to help you, let me know. Stay safe!

Hey @Jelleefish.

Just passing by to bring you updates on this in case you didn’t know yet.

Thanks for speaking up, your feedback and comments are always heard (or read?).

If there’s anything else we can help you with let us know, enjoy!

Bless you! Thank you so so much!
