I would like to know about the forum suspensions, how they work and how they are applied.
If I could please get an answer from the Staff.
Some of the questions I have are :
How are forum suspensions instigated ? What is the first step that begins this process ? Is it that a user has flagged a post or are moderators actively policing or something else ?
When action is deemed to be appropriate, How is the action to be taken selected ? I have found information pertaining to account penalty’s and in that instance there seems to be 3 step process beginning with and escalating to : - a warning then a temporary suspension and culminating in a permanent ban. Why is it that there are no warnings before a forum suspension is applied ?
How is a user to notified what exactly caused the infringement ?
For some context I have just recovered from a 1 day forum suspension.
I am going to assume that my suspension has something to do with a post I made in the General forums but without any specific context given to me in this regard I can only make assumptions.
I did get a popup window when attempting to log into the forums and it states “No constructive purpose to their actions other than creating dissent within the community”
I am prepared to detail my assumptions if that would be of use but as I am unsure as to the exact reason for my suspension I can only make assumptions.
Upon being able to log into the forums again I have received notification of two of my posts being removed by a moderator but as I stated above I have not received notification of any reason for my suspension.
I have re-read the forum FAQ (FAQ - Lost Ark Forums) but I am still at a loss as to why the two posts of mine that i received notification of being removed were indeed removed.
In those two posts I did not swear at anyone and yet a response to one of my posts from another user still shows where they use a derogatory term to describe me.
This process has certainly given me pause to reconsider how I interact with the forum here.
If I have done something inappropriate with this particular thread here I would appreciate being told so and would like to be provided a different manner in which I could make enquiries in an effort to get some answers to the questions I have.
I am sorry to hear you were recently suspended but will gladly let you know how forum moderation works, overall.
All of the moderators that reply in the forums are also content moderators. We review flagged posts and also can apply warnings or penalties depending on the content we come across.
Our goal is not to censor our users, but to encourage a helpful and healthy community.
The link you share about penalty types is mainly applicable to the in-game account but may broadly point towards how the forums are handled. Note that penalties do not necessarily follow an order but, depending on the severity, a moderator may skip a warning or penalty altogether and go directly to a penalty or permanent ban.
Forum warnings come in the form of posts being temporarily removed with the poster asked to re-enter the information.
The suspension is notified only via a pop up in the forums, like the one you mention you saw.
There is nothing wrong with asking how this works but the information we can give is broad, given this is a public channel. Therefore, broadly speaking, having looked at your forum account and taking into consideration your constant helpful posts I see no reason this should be a repeat problem.

I do hope you were able to see in my forum mail the two notifications that I received of posts being removed and the content of those two posts.
I did not actually think I was contravening any rules but I am not here to challenge any decisions made, nor will I pursue any challenge of my suspension. I am quite prepared to “cop that on the chin” so to speak.
I do actually feel, in the simplest of terms “unhappy” about what happened to me and I do also know that in time my feelings on this matter will diminish. It’s not really the way the user spoke to me that has caused me to feel this way but that action was taken against me.
I will get over it.
The biggest take for me I think is that my post was flagged by forum users and when a moderator saw it they acted in good faith of the flagging and suspended my forum account.
