After the last couple of patches my FPS has been dropping consistently from avg 150-170 FPS to 35-50 FPS. Is this happening to anyone else and is there a solution for this?
Things I’ve tried
I was told that they reset the chat options during the update so I made sure I unchecked the options that could be causing the frame drops.
Lower screen effects quality and uncheck all of the post processing FX options
I experienced massive framerate stutters tonight, only on my sorc and only inside Vykas for all 3 gates, my game would just lock up entirely for 2-4 seconds like the CPU was being over worked then catch up and all was fine. I only started experiencing this after the “emergency maintenance” last night. I run the KR VO personally, I lowered my graphics from very high to high and it helps a bit and haven’t notice many further issues, but its a pretty extreme take considering with just LA running it’ll horde 85% of my CPU and basically lock its usage at almost 100%
I’m sorry to hear about you having FPS issues while playing Lost Ark! Upon checking your PC Specs i can see that both of you have systems that are well above the recommended specs for the game. I see that you have tried similar ways to solve this issue. Here are some other possible solutions that could help solve this issues:
Verify Files Integrity
In order to to that, go to your Steam Library and Right Click on the Lost Ark Title > Properties > Go to the Local Files Section > Then run the “Verify integrity of game files” check. If this does not work, please reinstall the game and check if it solves the issue.
If these do not work, here is another resource where you’ll be able to find troubleshootings for this kind of issues:
If these still fail to resolve the issue, please go ahead and Raise a Web Ticket so that one of our colleagues can offer further assistance on this issue. They may ask for your Log Files and you DxDiag, which you can retrieve by following these steps:
Instructions for generating a DXdiag : Open and run DxDiag.exe 2 (Open and run DxDiag.exe). Feel free to use a pastebin file for the logs, just paste the file’s link to a response and i’ll be able to check it.
Instructions for finding the in-game logs:
Press Windows+R on the keyboard, type %appdata% and press enter.
Open the most recent file from this folder: /AppData/local/AGS/LogBackups.
Paste the contents of the file into your message. Feel free to use a pastebin file for the logs, just paste the file’s link to a response and i’ll be able to check it.
Thank you for your patience, I hope this information helps.
I’ve been having terrible performance issues myself since the patch on the 24th of August. Tweaking the settings around doesn’t really help either, I mean I get a bit better framerates but it still drops to even below 40 fps. I also tried literally every troubleshooting step, clean Windows install, etc. I even installed the Russian client and there are absolutely 0 frame drops or stutters there, checked it in both Chaos dungeons, open world, and even an Argos run. Argos in particular stutters and drops heavily in the EU client for all the AOE but it didn’t even drop below 100fps (capped) during the RU client run, even with maxed out graphics. Something seems to be messed up really bad with either EAC or the NA/EU client.
Also yesterday I talked to Amazon CS and they’re looking into my case specifically, so hopefully this will be resolved soon as it seems to affect more and more people.
