Friend Banned For Market Purchase…?!

My IRL buddy got an unexpected ban three days ago. He finally got someone in support chat to explain the reason and it’s really pissed us off at the lack of communication and resolution to the issue.

The explanation from Support was: You bought some health positions off the market that a player purchased in the Shop and posted in game. That player asked for a fraudulent refund and in turn was banned for conduct reasons. Unfortunately, this led to the unintentional ban of anyone who purchased those market items as well.

Are you %#}ing kidding me!? New World screwed us over after hundreds of dollars paid into the game, so we reluctantly invested here again and same result. Tired of good games ruined by amateur teams.

Hello, @PrimeLeviathan.

I’m sorry to hear what happened to your friend’s account.

Here at the forums we don’t have information regarding suspension status or appeals, so in case you haven’t done this yet, I invite your friend to appeal the suspension via web ticket. so the suspension can be looked into.

I hope this helps.

The web ticket is submitted. The problem is the lack of any public acknowledgment of this mistake on Amazon’s part, despite them informing those banned of the mistake only when reaching out. The lack of transparency will always lead to more problems if Amazon fails to acknowledge this much longer. It’s seriously ridiculous.

Selfishly, this is the second Amazon game to tear apart a long standing group of us MMO gamers. Probably the worst thing since Sony Online Entertainment, SOE.

I have an AWESOME idea. The bots that are screwing people over are all teleporting through the first starter area in Loghill. Sit out there and right click BAN to your heart’s content and stop letting these jerks ruin yet another MMO.

Created a new account yesterday to have so fun with my buddy to take his mind off the frustration of waiting for the moderators to hurry up and right the mistaken bans so many are experiencing. I can’t tell you how disappointing it was to have to play through thousands of bots running around, moving faster than mounts, teleporting straight to objectives, taking the mobs we needed to progress and generally making the game feel cheap. I remember Game Masters in servers taking care of these things live, not relying on automated processes. Trusted members of the community designated to take care of these annoyances and raise the overall enjoyment of everyone’s gaming experience. The cash grab mentality is why no game will have a true legacy again and it’s sad.

The worst part of the whole thing, the bots are the reason these bans happened to begin with and are blatantly doing CoC violations right in the face of the staff and gamers. So imaging being a banned account waiting for resolution, playing a new account just to enjoy the game and seeing thousands of the reasons for your depreciated enjoyment running around freely.

Hi there, I will be closing this post as there is no further question and it is stated by my colleague, ban appeals are not handle via forums.
