Every mmo ever.
Yes good argument OP.
All games are like that. At some point the content ends, or the grind get s too boring and people quit.
Big shocker i know.

What’s so surprising after looking at their history with games? They don’t know how to run a game, let alone a big mmo of that scale. But no worries, they might finally succeed in solving the bot issue because all real players were removed.
Most of the ppl I know quit because of how the chores are designed.Chaos dungeon have multiple loading screen, waiting for mobs to spawn and guardians you get to play monsterhunter in a map made by someone with waaay to much time on their hands. This shit gets to you after a couple of weeks.
You can tell the guy who approved of these design choices doesn’t play or cares of how tedious they are.
They needed to fuse chaos gates/Guardians into 1 (instead of 2) daily months ago.But knowing these devs it’s gonna be too late when it happens if it ever happens.
imagine everyone is left and about 100k bots play alone …
You do realize if they got rid of bots the prices still wouldn’t drop as a lot of players have 6+ alts some way more on few accounts for farming gold, doing dalies, etc
What is it you are hoping for, because the issue is deeply rooted in how the game is structured not the bots ![]()
If you think you can compete with big spenders in ilvl you can’t someone is born rich, someone isn’t, someone has a good job someone doesn’t, someone spends money on coke and strippers someone spends it on games, the real life factor will always intertwine with virtual one to some extent no going around that, the difference is even bigger in EU as realistically some countries are poor some are rich…
What you could achieve versus big spenders is playing better and out DPSing their ass, because ilvl won’t save you from a wipe mechanic or a party/raid kick if you fail few times ![]()
Peace out and keep in real my tear drops :*
that they finaly merch EUW and EUC together again …
Lazy devs… and nothing Amazon can do as they aren’t allowed to touch the code, Smile Gate has to do it
communication between dev and publisher should be the most important thing … now about 10 months people bagging all the time about server merch … thats one of the most important wishes and they still dont care and wondering why the game is dead now
I can imagine your frustration, I’d be furious also but I learned my lessons from previous MMOs, always pick the most populated region that is close to you and the most populated server.
Before the Lost Ark went live I was researching for 3 weeks to know which server to pick etc… There were people voting and organizing on reddit and here, when they released EU West I was going to transfer but realized that they released it far to late and 90% wouldn’t give up their time invested to get like 10ms better ping.
But I do hope it does happen soon as the ones who stayed in UE W to this day are the motivated players Amazon should strive for to keep and respect.
Smilegate makes almost no money with the western version atm , the money they made with launch was enough for them
Smilgate has almost no intrest to invest in something like servermerges , because it costs alot of human resource and money , to change sourcecodes.
for almost nothing ?
its a few thousands player which almost spend no money on the game . and money gets devided between AGS and Smilegate
i wouldnt even bother to let work someone on that , waste of dev time
not worth
This is very minor though.
I know it’s not nice having so many loading screens, but i doubt this outweights all of the other reason why someone would like to stay.
I just wanna highlight once again, that you cant expect people to keep playing the game every day forever.
People burn out, its natural. I dont understand why people get so serious over a game losing players.
What AGS/SG needs to do is iron out the catch up mechs (which they are already doing) and appeal more to the newer players.
It’s one thing I kept hearing repeatedly from my guildies and I feel the same. It’s a mental thing I guess.Having so many moments of basically nothing (loading screens/waiting for mobs/guardian) just psych’s people out and frustrates them.
A daily should be one and done for the day and preferebly not take long.having to do both dailies 2/2 so 4 times a day or even on rested (doing the same thing twice) just feels bad.
It may not be the main culprit for burnout but it sure as hell doesn’t help.
At very least, blue protocol bots are not as easy to program.
If the game fail, it will be for another reason.
Amazon is rich as fuck, they could easily buy blizzard. Issue is and this reflects LA: the short term profit.
To be honest I think LA is way superior to diablo 4. Just look at the animations and the combat… Saw all the trailers from D4 and I already was bored.
Lost Ark in the right hands which know the true heart of a gamer… and LA would sky rocket.
But well, AGS got already two new projects ready for launch.
I even contacted them about card packs because I wanna spend money but guess what… no reaction. Roxx is at vacation and no one other around. You couldn’t care less for a community.
LA won’t completely die out, there will be players left but the LA we will get in a year can’t be compared with the current LA which is still pretty active. Our version will be a very expensive russian version.
(Yesterdays viewer world wide on twitch was first time 3,1k and went to a stable 3,9k at the evening)
But what if Blizzard doesn’t want to be bought out… You are thinking all this the wrong way and also you act as if you have read the contract between Smile Gate and Amazon Games.
Best Amazon can do is try to negotiate a new contract or annex the current one with Smile Gate to allow them more freedom but I hardly doubt and have never heard of a developer allowing a publisher to tinker with the code of the game.
Right now Amazons hands are tied, they have little freedom like the cash shop items, the prices of those items and to moderate the game. They can ask from the developer something but it is not guaranteed to be granted… If you want to blame someone blame Smile Gate since they base all the content on only KR feedback, not much western feedback unless it’s drastic and Amazon calls them up for it.
I also want those card packs, but problem is west especially EU are really loud bunch when it comes to anything for money even if most of those loud ones are cheepos and never spend a dime in the game, but that’s the sad reality. Majority in the west would rather play 20h per day instead of getting a job and than spending one days wage into a game to be able to progress faster and have more time for fresh air ![]()
Blue Protocol will not have an auction house so no point having bots.
Thats a normal occurrence in games these days. Especially in MMOs cause people want to play the “new thing”. You know the “i was there” meta. People like to start over again on an even playing field. Thats why classic was such a huge success back in 2019 and partly because its WoW.
You dont need to be married to a game. You can just make a pause or a full stop. Most of us know that the reentry or new player experience is bad as hell. Before they fix any of the other problems, the barrier to entry needs to be worked on. We will bleed player over time. The game will stay a niche like BDO and will keep living on. But we need fresh blood.
Other games have the same pattern regarding “burnout”. Doing the same over and over again is nothing exclusive to LA.
korean business culture is pretty demanding and sometimes weird and I think AGS has some issues in regards of communication tho. But still, both are companies. The goal is profit.
There is no need to know the contract.
What do you expect of idiots that burn out because they play 4-5k hours already? Obviously they gonna quit after playing so hard. Some people just don’t know their limit! People should learn how to play the game the right way and not overforce everything…
There is no right way. It’s pure subjective.
While one guy loves being f2p and his passion is yearning soul, the other guy finds fun in spending 30k dollars. It’s super divers and I doubt that all people quit because they are burned out.
