I was just playing and had a weird crash, where the game froze up completely, and the only way to close it down was to hit up my task manager and kill the game. After that happened, every time i open up my game, it crashes after some seconds, or if i choose the server im playing on it instantly freezes with a black screen (music of seaguls are still in the background) and i have tried waiting 20minutes, and the music is still there but game is still frozen and not giving me any error messages.
I then started to wonder if anyone else had this issue, so i went into the forums and started researching, and currently i have tried to do multiple “fixes” and nothing has worked.
I tried:
-Tried reparing Easy Anti-Cheat
Checking integrity of the files
Setting the firewall settings to both public and the other one.
Tried messing with appdata files
Tried logging in to another server, didnt work either
Rebooting my computer, restarting steam, all of that basic stuff you would do before making a post!
and i tried a few of the guides people made, but the issue at hand is not the same as those people. So i dont know what to do now, i cant start up the game and play.
I dont get any error messages im afraid, the game just freezes and the sound continues, just now i tried a server i dont have any queue on or characters on, and i hear the bezerker but have a black screen. So the game seems to run but freeze up.
About my system.
Im running:
Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
Intel i7-9700K
16Gb 3200Mhz Ram
Asus Rog STRIX RTX2070S
Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500gb m2. nvme SSD
And yes i have double checked all drivers. And im about to reinstall my GPU driver, just to see if that works. (Im using Display Driver Uninstaller).
Awesome @Puffie let me know if something changes after that, in case it does not work i recommend you to please contact our live chat support so they can escalate this situation properly!
Provide them the link of this thread so the representative checks and attaches everything you did on your side to the report.
I uninstalled my driver, rebooted, reinstalled Geforce Experience, redownloaded the newest driver, installed it, rebooted again, launched the game, and now it freaking works, i dont know what that was, but hey, atleast i got some lvls on my profile here and a few hours less to play today!
But it works now, so im happy! And i hope this was enough info to what went wrong.
Okay, today is a new day, and i tried to play the game, and now my game keeps crashing after trying to connect to a server (any server) so back to square one. It cant be true that i have to reinstall my GPU driver on a daily basis to play this game.
Hey - did you manage to sort this out?
It just started hapenign to me this morning…unsure what I can do - I tried the same as you and still no luck…
I still have to reinstall my GPU driver everyday to work around the crash, its kinda weird that this is the ONLY game that i have issues with, i can play every other game without reinstalling my entire GPU Software + Driver.
Im still waiting for a response from the Devs and its really frustrating to be honest.
Hey - what worked for me is to run Steam as Administrator…that seem to have solved it and it works now.
Maybe try to do all of those again as Admin…
So i helped out a friend today who’s game kept crashing. He was running a basic nvidia gtx 960 setup on windows 10. Logged in with a network account (administrator)
The game kept crashing and we tried lots of fixes but the one thing that actuallly ended up working was to switch to a local administrator account on windows.
Not sure how or why but its a decent workaround for now maybe?
