If anyone wants to help boost a bard so its easier to get to t3 on East server, send t1/t2 mats to Izni. I am working on a support and dps engravings then prepping paladin after my bard is near 1400 range.Awakening/expert/heavy armor books are helpful too. Charity fund some supports
As a bard main i really enjoy this class. Currently sitting at 1385, cleared argos p2 yesterday and because of support shortage people just take supports instantly.
I canât agree more how hard itâs to build good bard, especially swiftness + 333 engravings and avoiding all the negative engravings its a pain the nice place. Accessories has an insane prices and it recuires to sit in the AH whole day and look for the decent price.
What comes to the solo contents i would not recommend waste time with bard alts in the t2 tower. As main i didnât had a problem to clear it when i was already in T3 as it doesnât give any mats.
Wish more people find this class fun to play, maining bard in t3 is really fun and super helpful to reduce usage of health potions for yourself and for the party members.
This is why everyone needs to atleast have a support alt. Even if you dont like it.
Later when you form groups with regular people you play with you can rotate your roster and do the content on multiple accounts with the same friends/people. Its very important that each one has an support alt so you can rotate the DPS more easily.
This was a known issue before release and played out exactly like expected. Initially, a lot of people are drawn to being âwanted for all contentâ etc but are seldom willing to pay the price. People struggle for a bit and then reroll, as seen in this topic and also my own guild.
Supports just arenât fun to main, thatâs just how it is. I remember watching statistics for role spreads on KR and people only seem willing to make supports as alts and nothing more, the higher ilevel you get, the more the support role tanks.
Edit: This also clearly follows the same trend as in many other MMOs. People want to do damage. Itâs fun.
By the way, Artist wonât solve anything, they are better as DPS and they deal pretty good damage.

And if i see something that does not have defense reduction + 3 on it and has a good price i might buy it.
I said having this kind of prices is overcharging bards if they want to slot their engravings + swiftness.

I might have done some mistakes, however i still stand by my statment that 10 000 gold is too much for a ring with swiftness plus engravings.
You can disagree with me and sell the stuff you get for however you want. No one is stopping you from it.
Idk what people think summoner is but its by far the worst support and requires your team to use activations etc for heals. As i said most people will run theirs as dps because its better/easier. Its a hybrid not a support and leans more to dps anyway.
Well my experience with bard is bard as main is very bad. In the titel says +1 supp, 3 people, berserker and 2 sorcerer for example and i try to join, i got rejected.
Im 1380 now, have 4 golden engravings, good gems etc. so thats no the case.
IDK why but that happened so oftenâŚ

i am main paladin 1385 itemlvl and i see where in argos lobbys are only looking for supports. but the problem is, that we can only clear the dungeon 1x. once we take the rewards i cannot participate as a support again. so less supporters for other lobbys in the next days until weekly reset happens.
As a support I get a good laugh every Wednesday evening looking at party finder and find +30 Argos groups looking for support(s).
Add to that when I inspect said groups 29 out of the 30 groups people have so badly optimized secondary stats, gems and engravings no wonder those groups cant find supports.
Itâs funny, I have been a healer main my entire MMO life (about 15 years now) and this is the first game I abandoned it. Being a support made everything harder lol couldnât solo tower, couldnât solo cube, couldnât solo boss rushâŚ
So I started to queue with folks. Everyone was just so fucking derp, either dying and saying itâs my fault, or not using potions because Iâm in the party⌠it turned me off immediately and I went to level a sorceress so I could solo everything =/
Imagine whining about a support not being able to heal your ass through standing in the bosses face during breathsâŚnow my bard will probably remain in T1 forever

Well speaking as someone who always play support in MMOs, the support classes, Bards and Paladins, have lacklustre support skills. Most of the skills are DPS with one or two being pure support and they have long CDs.
Seems Smilegate to have designed all classes to be DPS with two classes being like 80% DPS and only 20% support. In an MMO, where support classes should be focused on, well support, it is quite underwhelming to have 80% pure DPS skills. Also, game feels way too much as a solo game than a group MMO, which could explain why all classes are DPS.
I would love to play a Priest class with much less DPS skills but sadly there does not seem to be such class ever in this game. So I play a Paladin and spend most of my time, against my will, to do DPS and soloing. This game is not an MMO.

Wanted to main bard, but too expensive. Even T2 accessoires are 100gold+, no way for stuff I would wear just one week. So itâs just an alt now still sitting in T2 with T1 accessoires. I guess it will be the last to get to T3, the gold input is just too much compaired to the outcome. Better dps, same accessoires are much cheaper even when they are used by more than 4 classes.
T2 accessories cost me 1g a piece, bis stats and 90+ quality. Just gotta wait for last min auctions, people actually let go good pieces for almost nothing. I like to believe this is to help newer players.
My big pet peeve being a support main is that everything solo -and thatâs a lot of things including things you do with other people without grouping up- feels like youâre a second-rate class. Great fun in harder content, the rest not so much. And in this game more than any other where support is possible, you canât really make up for truly bad players.
Plus Iâve read that carries as a support main is not really a thing so people mainly play support as alts and thus do not do the highest end content as much.
Playing support in Lost Ark is not very entertaining at least combat wise compared to other MMOs. The dopamine boost compared to a DPS class pumping big numbers with swift gameplay is simply not comparable. With said being said I still enjoy being an anchor in a comp especially playing with friends. Its also quite easy to find groups and the minmax culture with engravings and BIS combat stats is not as prevalent.

I will try, havenât considered it yet, but since I play 7 chatacters I canât babysit ah. At least on my main I tried to bid accessoires but got overbid? pretty soon to prices where I could just use instant buy, but thatâs t3. Gonna try it for t2 though, maybe itâs not camped this much.
But considering ah is region wide it is pretty devastating or disappointing there are not many offers (in general) compaired to the amount of ppl playing.
