i Have played both and if you honestly think this game is more P2W then BDO then you’re an idiot that needs to realise what type of money pit BDO is… This game is WAY more friendly to F2P players. The problem? People dont want to grind they want easy progression and will cry if not.
even if there is a shortage of material people have been able to get 1370+ while not paying a cent they just put in a lot of work that people dont have time for.
Go play BDO where your item is destroyed and has no pity system. Realize this post is idiotic and come back and apologize to smile game for saying such idiotic things
And yes this game has P2W elements in it BUT eventually if we get into the game it will get easier.

Oh boy , How is Lost Ark more p2w than BDO ?
In BDO you need to buy :
Inventory slots , storage slots , Pets and breed them to get T4 , Mount skill change coupon which is too Rng and can give you undesired skill , Tent , Value pack if you don’t want to get screwed by marketplace taxes .
People buy outfits to melt them and get Cronstones/Valkscry to use them when enhancing .
And that is only a fraction !

What are you winning exactly if it is p2w? Doing a Guardian Raid with the smallest minority of people on the server and then go back to doing the same thing I am doing at 1346?

This isnt wholly true. Guardian stones are slightly cheaper on Maris and the tertiary enhancement mats are WAY cheaper.
that being said Mari’s shop is not pay to win. beyond the founders packs i havent spent anything and i can regularly buy out the things i need (that are more valuable on the store than gold) .
Nobody cares. Someone else paying something and supporting the game I might add, has absolutely no effect on anyone else’s game.
The rubbish about P2W is meaningless.
Those that can afford to pay do, those that can’t or don’t want to pay are carried. Be grateful someone is paying.
Let me clear up what BDO P2W is like

Value Pack
(You get more silver from the market and auction house) this costs money and is rarely sold for free -
Pets
having pets can make you from 20M/Hour to 100M/Hour in the same grind spot -
You cannot get premium currency from silver

You can buy everything from the market with real money without honing/enhancing at all
-
Since BDO is a PvP game f2p players get beat up by whales
-
Lifeskill is also p2w since you need value pack to make it worth the time
-
Boss gear was the endgame gear before they add blackstar to make it so whales are much further into the game

The richer gets richer because they have access to better grinding spots compared to f2ps because f2p is slow

Skins give additional effect (like stats) and you basically cannot buy a skin from the auction house

What are you waiting for to return to bdo? I’m a little short of reaching 1370 without having to pay a single penny. without class 3 islands, without more of the new content that they will put this Thursday. go to bdo and collect many fails, hopefully your weapon will not break or your refinement will drop as in the lost ark.
And to buy in mari shop you do not need to pay real money. that you don’t have gold in the game is your problem.

Maris shop is basically just an AH that sometimes has better rates, so i dont know that i see the issue.
Just convert gold to blue crystals if the deal is better…

NO im sorry but no . UNTIL THEY let us destroy skins for honing materials and can buy them unlimited times esp the bundles then no this game isnt p2w .
I can tell you’ve never played BDO , BDO is straight whale heaven p2w compared to the p2 convenience this game has .
In BDO YOU basically HAVE to buy outfits n destroy them for cron stones once you get everything at tri + so your 700billion silver boss armor chest doesnt downgrade from tet to tri . Dont even get me started on jewelry .
At least in this game you cant dmg your armor every fail attempt at upgrading and then having top2w to repair the armors durability to full , nor will your jewelry go poof bcuz we dont need to enhance o ur jewelry thank god .
and you think BDO is less p2w LOL is all i gotta say .

Noone said you need to spend money, somehow i managed to get to tier 3 on 1 char and 1050ilvl on an alt with only plat founders pack… people are crying about p2w and whqt? Like 3% of ppl git to argos and they need to wwit anyway for next content. There is no need to rush everything. Stop crying about p2w just Play and in near future u will get to t3 and all the content u desire xD i got like 130 honing fails already ofc its frustrating but u have a lot to do in this game that u can enjoy.

Not denying this game is p2w, we all knew it coming in no? i mean its p2w in KR, p2w in JP, p2w in RU, if ur suprised this game is P2W then u didnt do ur research and it kinda falls on u…
now p2w is rather subjective for people, we all have our different limits, so this game is more or less p2w depending on who u ask.
I think its hilarious and unnessesary to go “omg this game is p2w” yeah…its not a secret it is…just dont play if u have an issue with it cuz its just the same in every other region
other versions aren’t really p2w because they got all the extra dungeons to get material and I don’t mind spending 200-300 per month for cosmetics but stones etc is something different
other versions are p2w and theres whales there to, stop dreaming
maris shop is there aswell, theres no difference using “more people use it on our version” as our version being more p2w is just lol, the system is still there in all versions, so what if 5% or 10% more players use the system here then other regions.
and yes, theyt have more ways to get materials, because their version of the game is a lot older?
Releasing legion raids, heroic guardians etc, would only make a bigger gap between cashers and f2p atm, so f2p are only shooting themselves in the foot by trying to get these in before they are ready for it cuz as of now, if they where to release this content, f2p would be locked out unable to do them except those who can do argos+ at this point and would feel forced to cash even more then the argos release and cry even more

they failed in Korea with the Deadzone 40-70 and still added it here to get the daily cash from players if they would care about the players they would’ve added all the things after 1 month makes no sense to release 4000 gs dungeons when 90% of the players didn’t even reach 1370
As far as I know, legion raids are at like 1370, so those wont help
Heroic Guardians in every other region you dont get into a party for clearing these unless u have 3 engravings at lvl 3, something majority dont have here yet in t3, sure, people might be a bit kinder here and maybe take u if u have 2-2.5 engravings but it would quickly resolve to 3 minimum, something people dont have yet which would make them locked out of more content the “whales” can do that f2p cant, leaving a bigger gap.
Same goes for Abyss trials ^
Releasing this content now is a bad move.
Besides, you might also forget that our region is like what? 4x bigger then the other regions, i dont think any of the regions have more then 100k concurrent players, so yeah, more people will spend on our version cuz we have more players lol
