Game is over. There's no going back

With all that said, I don’t believe the game is beyond saving, but it will be extremely hard to recover. They need to get bots under control soon or it’s over for the average spender.

Also, there is much more community-splitting content to come in the future so they need to have fewer problems to deal with when those come.

I was in a guild where over half were doing RMT. They ended up just kicking the people (like me) who couldn’t keep up because they refuse to RMT.

Nobody was banned. AGS is a joke.

See that’s the thing I could never really understand.

When you play a game with friends, dont you support one another? EG: Whale friend hit 1460, sees his other friends are lacking materials etc then proceeds to pause their own progression to funnel materials into the friends until they are also 1460, then continue vice versa.

Do people just not help each-other anymore?

Such a strange concept. Our entire guild is 1445+ we’ve done literally every piece of content together and if one is behind we all make effort assist and funnel materials.

Friends don’t leave friends behind imo.

I feel no need to “catch up” to anyone.

I agree with OP, I paid $$$ for pheons, ark pass and skins. I would pay again for that even if the prices are to me a bit expensive (but that’s not my point) as it is a way to support the game release in west!

Unfortunately I won’t spend a jack anymore because I would feel really stupid to do so. Why should I pay fair and square as someone who plays the game while people enforce your ToS w/o any consequences. And I’m sure a lot of people do think the same way…too bad you guys wanted an immediate profit instead of an healthy revenue source. Guess that’s how it works nowadays…

Also just a friendly reminder for all of these who bought gold from third parties. RMTers buy gold, inflation happens, they need more gold cause of inflation, repeat. My point is RMTers are making themselves the demand in gold that they wouldn’t need otherwise killing the very same game they are “investing in” doing so. It’s quite amusing when you think about it…how ironic.

Well most people who will keep playing the game won’t spend as much as they would have (even might be not at all) if the game was healthy and you guys showed that you care about your people…we had so much expectations and you kept deceiving your “true” player base on a regular basis.

Lost Ark is an amazing game and helped me going through depression(still at it no worries!) (thanks FOMO, keeping my mind busy) and I feel very disheartened to see what it is as of today…I could be crying now if that wasn’t just a game…

Lastly I would like to thanks @Roxx and @Shadow_Fox for your services…I feel bad for you guys having to face all the hatred that the current situation and actions(or inactions) is producing. Thats it a bit of love and encouragement for you guys during this dark time for archesia. Sorry for the tags!

Recently the number of rmt players has increased so much that the number of legit players has disappeared next to them. At this point, it’s just a waste of time for legit players to farm alt char.

If they only ban bots and do nothing to rmt players, only bots and rmt players will remain in this game after 2 months.

Unfortunately it isn’t that simple. While I do agree real ones bring up their homies, there are very few “real ones”, real talk. People will RMT generally for selfish reasons and then start to form negative opinions of others or go down the rabbit hole of negative decisions that start validating themselves. Eventually there will come a point where things come to a head and those who are ahead will objectively be capped by the progression of the others who cannot keep up.

So they will either surround themselves with like minded players to meet their goals or they give up on their goals entirely for the sake of their friendships. It’s harder to do the latter and AGS/SG have nothing to do with those personal decisions, but people are still deluded into thinking AGS/SG make those choices or force those choices for them.

I am 1475, a few of my guild is in a similar spot I am in. Some have left because they did not want to be held back, others stayed to continue developing those who couldnt keep up. I play this game to do content with the people in my guild, not to flex pixels to randoms. Not everyone is honest about that though.

Lol as if F2P can catchup to anyone ever, stop whining and play the game.

But can you catch up before the game is abandoned

Last person standing will have all the time in the world to catch up. Until the servers shut off.

There are a lot of rmt players 1500 + ilvl yes but why there are some casual players calling normal players rmt?
Any f2p player with a brain has been vykas ready for weeks already. There are many legit 1460 + players waiting for the next legion raids. No, game is not over and summer loa on is coming soon.

Bruh, people hardly help each other in real life. Do you think this will change in a pixel world where people won’t starve to death for not being at their Item level?

Good joke though… As soon as it becomes the norm for friends to cooperate IRL to achieve goals and feed each other let me know. Maybe at that point, we won’t have starving/ freezing homeless people in the states, and children across the world.

Literally nobody cares at this point. It’s clear your ego relies on this game but you gotta realize that your stats are not interesting to almost anyone else

Friends quit lost ark together because it is designed to screw one guy over and force him to pay to play with his friends

Lol no they don’t. RMT is so rampant because it’s 5-6x cheaper due to our scuffed store. Only idiots buy and sell RC.

I remember feeling bad for whales spending $10 and only getting like 1,200 gold. Wtf kind of rate is that?

The thing that saved the legitimate buyers was the bots. Now they can get like 4,000 gold per $10.

Devs starved us of gold and then gave us events with no gold in them and people idiotically said thanks

“no one cares” because you don’t care xDDDD
Random irrelevant user from lost ark forums decides if the game is over or not.

oh look at that, this comment says everything. I already know the type of player I’m dealing with. The frustrated no effort player blaming the game because you suck at it and all your friends left you behind xDDDD

That dumb player claiming the game “force you to pay”
Don’t forget to close the door on your way out.
The game has a big bot issue but I love to see mediocre players trying to use it as an excuse to why they can’t progress

Except that is exactly what it is designed to do? Why do you think the whole game is built around sending you to the store?

How is it that this is what the term “friends” has come to.

I’m honestly just extremely surprised. I personally refuse to leave anyone behind fending for themselves if I consider them a “real friend” and in times I’ve been in that position they’ve helped me. Like, a fully functional guild only works if we work and play as a unit. Heck we’ve lasted 10+ years together in different MMOs and that’s never changed.

It’s just wild to me now that whom you consider friends either are easily dropped if they fall behind or drop you just as quick if you’re not on level with them. That’s not a friendship.

I’d honestly call those “aquaintences” at best.

I hope you guys start adding value to yourselves and others. From experience it’s always ended up ultra positive and y’all end up enjoying content together instead of struggling all the time

Disagree. I’ve heard plenty of people offer their t1/t2 and t3 if they’re parked to people they just met. Now, the t3 portion probably isn’t a huge amount and not to funnel someone to 1460, but 1370 or 1415 sure. If they’re good friends though, why not?

I have also witness many times someone ask for help (with Sol or Magmadon) and a bunch of 1465s come out to help. I would definitely help out with lower chaos gates/ghost ships if they’re out mats and new. (Otherwise I’d recommend they just wait until later in the week until they’re t3 at least.)

In this world of honing fails and horrible rng (ability stones, moake drops, legendary galewind), we’re comrade in arms. Builds a sense of fellowhood. Whether this extends to giving out freebies or just their time can be debated, but there are kind souls out there.
