What? I have never seen a ghost ship fail.
Was there today with my 963 alt (granted with Eiberns Crew buffs) and didn’t even get close to dying once.

get unas to beat ghost ship,click note before you enter, enter the 460 one, kill it
every day after pickup unas to beat ghost ship,use ticket from race event to autocomplete (or 20 crystals,but atm one 460 run & 5 tickets covers 6/7days per week)
repeat till you get ship, get sailor w/ buff to ride ghost ship,and take that ship for future ghost runs
it seems the 960/1370 ships are tuned expecting you have 60% dmg reduction from the sailor, cause normally you’d have 3-6mo (12-24 weeks) in teir 1 and have ship before you ever saw the 960 version
only time ive failed is when i didnt know what it was about and joined the event middle of night and we where only 4 players
This is a really important point. Without using the Una auto-complete items, it would take 12 weeks to get this ship.
Once I finally heard about it I started using those myself and will eventually get it (two weeks is better than 12). It seems like maybe it was the kind of thing they should have re-tuned for our region given the difference in how much time we’re going to spend in T1/T2 compared to other regions.
You just need to do it once.
Then use unas tickets every day
Ghost ship in 12 days.
Do it once then abuse the free Una complete tokens on it from the racing event vendor
You can autoclear it every single day instead of once a week. Doing that method I’m now four days away from owning the ship.
It’s clearable without the ghost ship buff but once you get the ship and the sailor that gives you the buff the boss becomes a complete joke. It’s so easy.
I went back to T2 ghost ship last week just to start on my Una dailies. I was on my T3 main and there was probably 10 people tops doing ghost ship at that time. It was annoying not being able to do any damage, and seeing people get wiped non stop. I was able to face tank a lot of hits though, I guess that’s the only positive.
I’d like to see a nerf too. Especially one that scales with the number of participants if that’s not the case already. But I’m not sure how that’ll affect the ghost ship once everyone gets geared up with Eibern’s wound and have the sailor for it, it does sound OP.
The game will become Nerf Ark the more whining people make about game content being too hard can’t play
Learn the boss attack pattern and turn off other peoples’ attacks for more clarity. I don’t have the eibern buff so I play with the perma slow on and still have no problem surviving. Try it when more people are playing the game (early reset or after work hours). I’ve never failed ghostship but had close calls with the timer, maybe they need harder HP scaling when less players are in the instance.

Are you talking about the 960? People clear it every week. It’s even had a health nerf recently. The people you’re with must be doing something wrong. It does have a fail mechanic which I see people mess up often.
The main run-killer with ghost ship is that he he heals a ton from killing players (from some of his attacks at least), so if you’re with a bunch of bad players they’ll feed the boss a ton of healing and dramatically increase his survivability.
In fairness to death-prone players the move speed decrease can really catch people off guard the first couple of times and particularly hurts less mobile classes a lot when they’re trying to avoid his tri-pronged death laser, but still it’s frustrating when the boss heals up 2 full health bars whenever he does his mechanics lol.
It should generally get easier over time though, as players learn how to fight him and people get more Fighter: Ghost Ship buffs of their own to counteract the debuff on the ship. Overall I sort of feel that the arguably anomalous difficulty of ghost ships will resolve itself in a couple of weeks anyway.
I’m closing in on 1370, but until now 960 runs go smoothly or more like turning into a steamroll as we progress, so I don’t see a reason for a nerf.(no ship yet) Okay I admit it, I’m a blue lancer, so I endure more pain, but its all about player intellect, nothing else. Just doing proper tanking and disrupting aoes, I’m already cutting back on overall casualties. Ofc the purple mass explosion can rekt me as well, but if I can manoeuvre out most of them, sure any other class can, just gotta pay attention to mechanics - as basically everyone above said.
I died 8 times in row with paladin, never complained because I was there trying to tank boss skills…now I am fine with it. get ghost ship and it’s crew (takes around 12 days)
I thought ghost ships set your stat once inside, so you are at the stats of the recommended iLvl
I’ve done Ghost ship every week since launch.
Never failed it once at any of the levels.
Now with Eiburns Wound and the Ghost Captain buff I couldnt even die if I wanted to. I can literally clear it blindfolded…
