Please don’t make the game fully p2w. Completing story missions isn’t that hard, guys.
If the option to powerpass to Punika for $50 was there I would both not want to finish the story because I would feel my time is wasted, but also not want to spend $50 because that’s ridiculous.

This is easily negated by having let’s say at least 1 char above 1340 let’s say. Or even 1370.
And it’s not about hard/not hard. It’s a timesink I’m not ready to do which takes a LOT of fun out of having alts in the first place.
Yes, it’s not difficult, but it’s a time commitment that you put in to reap the rewards down the road. I’ve done Rohendel and Yorn 7 times and I’m working on another 5 lool. Of course it stinks, but it does feel rewarding, for now

My first reply was for you. TLDR; it’s too early for T3 powerpass in my opinion. What you wrote on knowledge transfer is accurate too. It is a pain, but that’s also because… game is out for little over a month and anyone pushing for more than two characters into T3 at this point isn’t your average player. Majority of players doesn’t even have the luxury to have two T3 characters.
Yea I totally understand that. People have different opinions and preferences.
Hell people even play the 300h+ long story in FFXIV every year again just for the sake of it. Just like people keep replaying various games again and again.
I just bet there are a lot of people that will rather quit than replay it once.
Obviously we can’t cater to everybody. Pretty sure a lot of people went into the game expecting they can just play random classes lateron and have to decide for one main.
That’s how the majority of people just presented it. And now we have to play the story a repeatetly just to play any at all.
T3 shouldnt get a powerpass until at least a year into the game and all bots have been eliminated and even then it shouldnt happen until at least a t2 powerpass has been out for awhile and t2 powerpass shouldnt come out for like 6 months at least. The best thing that could happen is your post gets completely ignored and nothing changes

Currently with powerpass and knowlege transfer you can maintain 6 characters. I think thats a pretty sweet deal and if you have all 6 and still have time for more then you have time to level up

With the current state you can have your main + 1 alt via KT up to T3.
After that you have to play the story to use KT(from Vern on).

Honing actually is fine and i just hit 1355 free to play without buying any materials on the market and only 1 character in tier 3

Punika gives you like 3300g in mats from the story, so there’s basically no reason to skip it.
I mean technically you could get a bit more in chaos dungeon grind, but that’s just as bad.
Plus a large part of the time for Punika is running normal dungeons, which you would run for the bound mats eventually anyways so that time isn’t wasted.
