Honestly I wouldn’t worry about those 1 percent of players. There will for sure be ones playing 2-5 accounts with 6 alts on them all. Amazon can’t really enforce the rule for playing more than account no company ever has. Fortunately it shouldn’t change much for us average folk due to the massive player base this game will have.
It is enforceable dude. As I mentioned above and others have mentioned. Google search anticheat hardware ban if you don’t want to take our word for it.
i agree, but what worth does a 7th character have on the same server if its earning potential is 80% reduced. i wonder how likely it is that the "pro farmers"will just do the minimum side progression on off server alts to funnel gold onto their main.
That sounds like the sole purpose of alts is doing daily chores with all of them ad nauseam. Do you play your games like that? I know I would go mad.
The OP question kinda makes sense even without context. This debate however not so much. We area talking about highly theoretical scenarios noone sane follows in reality because of reasons. So for people who haven’t played the game yet just wait until you see it.
Otherwise we are talking about “the fastest way to get money is a lottery. See this guy? He literally got millions in few minutes.” AKA while true it doesn’t make sense in the bigger context.
what it sounds like is when i create a 7th alt to try a new class and play for fun. one of my previous 6 becomes irrelevant in earning potential. and now i will only play 6 out of the 7 characters i have on that server.
they can still do 95% things just fine
sure I can get a few materials. but 7+ alts is now way more of a goldsink that can be swiped through

I doubt that, at 7+ alts, you would mainly just be raiding with them. I doubt you would cycle doing dailies on more than a couple.
I’m concerned about the gold sink for my 7+ alt that I may want to make to try out more classes and play the game more, without being able to adequately make the material investment used to upgrade that alt back. at this point its swipe to stay relevant with more than 6 alts. otherwise you are forced to stop upgrade progress on 1 alt for each new alt over 6 you make.
Dont doubt. I have done the same thing on RU. It is the most efficient way to earn gold. Some streams have 20+ alts.

yeah I said they would just be used for raiding. and had meant that they wouldn’t be used for anything else/other daily content. sorry if I wasn’t clear.
Np i also was not clear. Basically i mean with this change they only have made the gap between whales and f2p players even bigger. In the old system you could uphold (somewhat) with the whales. Now its impossible. Doing Bus runs for gold is the new meta currently.
yes I totally agree, and I don’t think that’s healthy for the game. because now, its really pay to win. when players are incentivized to sell achievement runs to whales who couldn’t clear the content otherwise… that doesn’t sound good to me.
They only restricted gold income from certain content, it is not from everything. the content they restricted in KR is not at launch for us either, so they will probably tweak this or add a cap when that is released for NA/EU.
sure, smilegate makes money, sure the players selling the runs make gold. both are good. support the game, please lol 
but still it feels like a bad scenario got worse and not better
Well technically the p2w part is still “ok” cus to gain real advantage for money means not couple hundreds of dollar but thousands and thousands. My biggest problem the Director told basically it is not healthy for you to have more than 6 characters xD
Well this is true but they just restricted others “fun” or “method” for gold earning. The problem is Smilegate only gated on how many character you can earn gold from raid and dungeons. But they dont gated how much money you can invest into cash shop
not really, when someone can just buy a hard mode achievement run for gold. that other free to play players struggled to complete. bussing wasn’t as popular before as players were able to stay semi relevant to whales. now whales control the gold market and the only way to get in on that is sell bussing runs… that seems like a backwards step on the p2w scale in my opinion.
like I really don’t think having in game chat spammed with “selling x run for y gold” is a good look. maybe I’m just very opinionated.
