Graphic bug after a game crash

Hey there!

Two days ago my game suddenly crashed with a blackscreen. After having to close the game and relaunching it I logged into crazy graphic bugs such as

  • Pixel scattered across my screen
  • Character models with weird shadows
  • Lots of stutter
  • Shaows flickering

The severirty of these issues isn’t consistent and every time I log in they can be worse or better. In additon to that I get these crashes with a blackscreen frequently now and my whole pc freezes. I noticed it because my second monitor stops for a second.

  • I updated all my drivers, CPU, GPU, Windows.
  • Cleaned out my PC (Maybe dust???)
  • Closed every programm in the background
  • Tried different graphic settings
  • Verified the files and reinstalled the game twice (once on a HDD once on a SSD)
  • Stresstested my GPU with different benchmark tools (Nothing happened here)
  • Played different games on max resolution and no strange occurences

Specs: CPU: i7-8700K @ 3.70GHz
GPU: RTX 2080 Ti

Talked to the live-support and did some troubleshooting along side him nothing helped:

  • Turning of the second monitor (and unplugging it)
  • Switching to a different resolution
  • Switching between Fullscreen and Borderless

While doing it I found some more graphic bugs such as

  • Glitching NPC Models
  • Yellow Pixels at set positions during a Kungelanium raid.

Hello @Veel,

I am sorry to hear you seem to be having sporadic game crashes.

Please try the following steps in order to troubleshoot this:

  1. Make sure your video drivers and Windows are up to date.
  2. Set Windows power settings to High Performance.
  • Press Windows + R, type “powercfg.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
  • Select the radio button next to the High performance power plan. You may need to click Show additional plans first.
  1. Adjust your in-game video settings. (sometimes just changing them back and forth will reset the issue)
  2. Clean boot Windows by following these instructions:
How to perform a clean boot in Windows (to reduce startup applications/Check for Malware).
  3. Reset your video driver software to the default settings.
  4. Check for evidence of overheating.

If the issue persists after this, the scenario will require our tech team to look into your logs and follow up directly with other possibly sensitive account information that is best not posted on the forums so it would be best if you could please create a web ticket by going to Contact Us | Amazon Games.

I hope this helps and if not, do not hesitate reaching out to live support.

See you in Arkesia! :wolf:
