I’ll add that you need to track Card progress and focus on lower dungeons that have the best coverage. For example, the first cards outside of Wei that I completed were Thirain and Azena, which means that even if I am low on Shandi, running Vern or Rohendel has so little value that it is no longer worth my time.
By the time I was on striking range (10 cards counting Selectors away), I was exclusively camping for Underwater runs or queueing for a Yorn while I was doing Leapstone dailies.
It takes a lot of capital to get there, you will experience despair especially with a higher imbalance of cards OR if you are in Kadan prison.
From my tracking when I was around 25 away counting Selectors, I spent around 100K a week for two months for Mari’s, and I bought Lucky Pouches on every character for the duration of Frog. I also bought two Select Packs from Challenge Abyssal, one that came at a staggering cost of 56K. I did spend ~2 million Pirate Coins buying out Peyto/Fermata each week, but that was more for a small chance at a card while I filled out Demon Damage.
Sometimes there are good deal in specific event like the Anniversary bundle. I would not recommend swipping for cards so, it’s wayy too RNG and will drain your bank account.
I wish I was in Kadan jail since i need 1 more kadan for the demon damage…
i think ultimately los 30 was a selector determined achievement. I had 11 selectors to complete it around october last year (and since then i’ve gotten 14 more selectors…)
I did luck out in that i focused on los 30 way back when BC was much cheaper. Of course my progression was gimped due to it - still not a single level 10 gem but I think it may have ultimately worked out? I know most people focused on los 30 after brel came out (ie mari rare pack buying) but at that point BC was well into the mid 3000s
Would I recommend abyssal dungeons to players? Absolutely not since too much homework these days… When I did my abyssal dungeons i had 25 extra lwc cards on top of 11 extra zinnervale and some others (from abyssal dungeons) before I finished LOS 30
IMO the best way is to just keep praying for selectors
I’m kinda curious where your demon damage is at, I’m gimped due to legion raid cards, 2 krissa, 5 shana, 1 sigmund, 3 kaishur… I may need to start peyto buying to getthem
I’m missing a lot of Purples too man, only 3.89% where I see so many that could get an upgrade if I finished some of the aforementioned. Off the top of my head I’m nowhere close on Krissa similar to you and I’ve been hunting Krause so I can finish the mini LWC (Delian Armen is too far away for a real LWC push).
Huge hats off if you started grinding early for Mari’s, I’m stuck with Level 9 Gems for now until I can rebuild and I think optimistically I was paying 2600-2800 for BC on those weeks. But Gems are the last part of the project, I’m hoping I can pace to where I can fuse a 10, buy a 10, and repeat the process slowly over time. Honing is a bit too expensive right now for the Top 6 so they need to be taken care of before Brel HM drops.
Yea in the same boat on purples, honestly they need to release purple selectors some time! The challenge abyssal helps a bit but I find epics are kinda difficult from them.
I agree on honing costs, honing for brel HM/the frog shop pretty much drained all my gold every week since frog is out.
if you are a no lifer you can do card runs from t1 raids to t3 every week with each character, back in the day when used to do card runs for LWC, i used to drop a legy at least every 2 runs
I’m sorry, but I can’t wait until he comes online to explain this to you, but the sample you’re basing your conclusions on is not representative of most of the player-base.
For starters, you’re only looking at the latest content, which consists of smallest percentage of players, which are usually either hard-core f2p or hard-core whales. Either subset of players is an extreme, rather than a representative of an average player.
Furthermore, the lower the sample size, the higher the variance, which means that 1 out of 2 having LoS 30 may be much closer to 0% rather than 50% if you would pick a representative sample.
But until someone does that, we can’t know for sure.
Except, some of us who understand maths and statistics know this, so we don’t have to bother proving anything. You should consider yourself lucky that people even respond to you with their thoughts, considering how much you still have to learn
It’s understandable that there exists a number of players who set it as their primary goal and achieved it. I even understand them gatekeeping based on such an achievement, as it increases the chances of them finding the rest of the like-minded players
What is NOT understandable is benchmarking in a game where you know those people burned sizeable amount of money to achieve that, as if it includes some skill and shows a character worth imitating.
But if that’s something that resonates with you, I gotta say that would explain your toxicity, lack of knowledge and choice of language
I understand the logic behind endgame consisting of veteran players, while other stages players that can be found, not so much. However, since I myself am one of the exceptions to the rule, because I quit and returned, it would be disturbing to conclude that we don’t matter
If you said “hey, if we’re talking about the average player, the 1 person with LOS in every Brel lobby is a very small sample size and not indicative of the entire playerbase”, I would’ve just replied with “ok for sure you’re right, but I’m talking to that guy specifically about people in the endgame, where endgame card sets matter, and not about players who have barely begun to think about those cards”.
But you implied I don’t understand basic math/statistics, said i should feel “lucky” to even get a response, and just came off very condescending overall. I wasn’t being toxic :3 just clapping back.
I’m not even saying new (or returning) players dont matter, or that they can’t get into my lobbies without LOS. But the conversation was specifically about something else.
is this kindergarten? what is with the “no you” arguments you keep repeating on loop?
where is your evidence that it is common? that you found 1 person randomly with it?
i played yesterday with 3 people that had it
that doesn’t mean jack shit because i cherry picked 3 very strong and dedicated players
Fact is, you were coming off really condescending in your earlier replies to the guy I jumped to defend because he wasn’t online. Then to my reply, which was 80% polite, and only the last sentence was condescending, you replied with pure toxicity and basically said I’m stupid and irrelevant to anything and anyone here xD
I understand the cycle of toxicity and I’d like to break it. But if I’m expected to be polite and humble, so are you. It’s pointless to enter a discussion like this. It’s not important why you said what you said. Most likely you were offended because of something we said, or the way we said it, but it should be clear to you now that wasn’t our intention.
We all probably absorb too much negative energy on this forum and it shows in discussions like these. It’s hard to always deal with that energy by yourself, in silence. Not to mention it doesn’t really help to bring about the changes we expect
