Same material, different ways of buying

Have you noticed? If you want to buy an item, there are 2 ways:

  1. Using gold → Buy in auction house（330 for 1 Pouch）

  2. Using crystals → Buy in Mari’s shop（23 for 5 Pouch = 4.6 for 1 Pouch）

Actual price of Pouch in Mari’s shop in Gold

Gold to buy 95 crystals at the moment（804 for 95= 8.46 for 1）

Price of 1 Pouch in Mari’s shop（8.46x 4.6per Pouch = 38.9 per Pouch）

Let’s compare price

  1. Using gold → Buy in auction house（330 per Pouch）

  2. Using gold → exchange crystals → Buy in Mari’s shop（38.9 per Pouch）

9 times more expensive in auction house, surprised? Your 1 pouch is equal to other people’s 9 pouch.

What should we do

  1. Sell the tradable items (loot from dungeon) if it’s cheaper to buy in Mari’s shop.

  2. Exchange gold for crystals, then buy the cheap and useful items in Mari’s shop.

  3. The calculation is complicated right? We do have a tool to help you do this instantly.

Shop quantities are wrong for a lot of stuff, including prices, some stuff was scaled up in t2/t3 after argos drop. Also having values “differing” from servers and not matching your current region makes this tool inaccurate in the first place for the rest of the values.

this is wrong. Gold is so heavily inflated that maris deals are worse 80% of the time than just buying from the AH.

There are gold to buy crystal ratio in the tool. It’s always correct.

The tool is also updated as people asking to update the items to latest of mari shop.

Prime example:
Honor Leapstones. Auction price 100g/ea
Mari Shop Honor Leapstones 10 for 20 Crystals equals 1-~20g/ea

You should make it an app for android, its solid work

Edit: I would add an option to hide T1 and T2 from the char (or I couldnt found ot)

Yea, I know prices are different from server to server, that’s why it’s important to fill in the “gold to buy 95 crystals” from your server.
Some items are really profitable and should help with your character progress.

t1 you should just salvage leg t1 accessories for materials anyways if you want to buy, works out super cheap.

Great post, but that’s not why. They buy cheap gold from goldsellers. Thats how they reach t3 fast.

Some players buys gold, some don’t.
I didn’t buy gold from goldsellers, i’m F2p, I’m 1370.
Using mari’s shop correctly will help anyone do the same.

What the “value per” means, exactly ? That’s the difference of gold between the AH prices and Mari’s ? How do you get it ?
