Guild Name Change and General Confusion re: Names


I formed and named our guild “Stratsco” in good faith, believing the messaging from Amazon about what was and was not allowed in guild name - in other words, one word, capitalized, no other capitals, etc. Much of what was indicated prior to launch in official statements turned out not to be true.

Our guild name should be “StratsCo.” I purchased a Guild Name Change ticket again in good faith, but I cannot change the name to “StratsCo” despite the fact that numerous other guilds observably have an additional capital letter. Which is obviously extremely aggravating. My guess is that despite how the name displays, the database itself is not case sensitive, which means it thinks I’m trying to change the name into what it already is.

I’d like the name changed to “StratsCo” and/or a refund on the Guild Name Change ticket - especially since I’m not really trying to change the name at all. I respect the difficult time you must be going through right now, but this has been a mess start to finish. You can hardly blame players for believing what you tell them is true, when there were many, MANY questions prior to launch seeking to confirm the information - including from our guild.

This issue seems to be something really specific which we don’t have “troubleshooting steps” and I do believe requesting an escalation with our developers might be the best option.
