no chance for you to hold aggro for 5 minutes non stop. Only if you were alone there. The boss resets his aggro too often. There isnt a tank in this game, like other mmos. There are only two characters with taunt and thats it.
But I did do that for the whole duration of the yoho run. Maybe you haven’t encountered a chadlancer yet

Certain boss abilities cannot be interrupted with a taunt, meaning if they are locked in these animations the boss will not turn to face you (read: you will not interrupt their animation) and you will not hold agro. You will still see damage and get shield from your Shout of Hatred in these instances. Dark Yoho has a few of them, which is what you are noticing.

If you believe you held aggro of any boss in Lost Ark for the entire duration, you were very lucky. The boss probably randomly targeted you for most of the fight and you happened to cast shout at the right time when the boss might have turned away from you.
Honestly, if you want to play a true tank class that holds aggro, you picked the wrong game.

You do realise yoho have lots of aoe attacks that don’t target a specific player. So with the right attack rotation, it may be possible for taunt cd to have worn off by the time it finishes the aoe attack for you to taunt again and keep aggro. This is obviously not possible for bosses that don’t have this many aoe attacks.
Boss can aggro a specific player at any given time outside of aoe attacks. Taunt just forces the aggro onto you for the effect duration. Technically it is possible for you to have aggro the whole time IF the boss also chooses to aggro you outside of taunt but this is entirely reliant on rng and can’t be reproduced intentionally.
You are basically asking people how to keep perma taunt on boss with a 5s taunt effect on 30s cd. Looks like the problem is with the question itself.
I got a legit reply from a PM and yes it works perfectly. Now I know how I am missing the taunts. And no you can’t have the answer as you are not chadlancers.

So all this time our true chadlancer was just asking about how to be within skill range and not be interrupted during cast, a basic skill that even gunslinger floor pov would know. What a true chadlancer indeed.

Assuming that Shout of Hatred is cast while the boss is NOT doing any uninterruptible moves (For example, standing still), how do you make sure every shout interrupts the boss.
The boss has hidden internal duration in which it can’t be interrupted again after the last interruption. I don’t know the exact number but it is around 30 - 40 seconds. If you successfully interrupt a boss then it can’t be interrupted again for 30-40 seconds no matter what.
Since our shout of hatred can have CD reduce Gem and CD reduce tripod, the actual CD of the skill is less than 30 seconds (For me, it’s closer to 20 seconds).
Let’s posit that I successfully interrupted a boss the first time. If i cast shout next time as soon as it comes off CD, I can’t interrupt the boss even if I hit it with shout in its interruptible state because 30 seconds has not elapsed since the last interruption.
This is what OP is talking about, I believe. And someone (I think the first reply) answered this already and yet he had to wait for a PM to finally understand this hidden Interrupt CD on the boss.
To successfully interrupt a boss with every shout.
- Ensure that boss is not in the middle of executing an uninterruptible move.
- Make sure that the boss’s internal interrupt CD is off. This means, you need to wait additional 10-20 seconds after your shout skill comes off CD.

Let out a fierce roar, inflicts 366 Damage to foes within a 8 meter radius, taunting non-player foes for 5s and disabling certain skills on them. Challenge or higher foes cannot be taunted again for a set period of time.
That set period of time, I believe, is actually 40 seconds, but need to find source.
