Yup! If you have 86 Quality, NM should theoretically be higher damage than Salv.
tbh i dont think salv or nm make that much diff at all. If you play gs you are most definitely playing out of love and game experience, because gs loses out in dmg to most of the top tier burst classes either way.
One thing might be helpful to a beginner though, pay attention to how you feel on various levels of swiftness. You can test them in the playground. As a beginner you can opt for more swiftness, but its difficult to efficiently rotate thru all your skills if your swiftness is too high, or the pressure to spam skills might lead you into reckless playstyle. Later on with more experience you should opt to reinvest your swiftness points elsewhere. Perhaps crafting a build that allows for modular changes like such is something worth trying.
basicly now you go PM lvl 3 as the rework gives you extra shotgun damage. as set its best to go salvation in my opinion as it has very good damage and gives attack speed. NIghtmare is anoying asf because you need to use awakening skill to activate it. This is not likely on a gs but if you drop under 30%mp you lose all your damage. i dont recommend using it. also you need the attack speed to quickly use your stagger skills during stagger check or burst damage.
Most gunslinger pm focus high crit mid spec. think of like 1200/700. You can chose to go swiftness but it has lower damage potential. if you want swiftness its better to go time to hunt and go full spec/swift build.
Nightmare and not run out of mana…cheaped on ring with swiftness change in future for spec ring
so… 1.7% more dmg on nightmare. considering i put more swift into nightmare for QoL it is less again… 500 spec is 10% more dmg on rifle skills (i tested with target down) so theoretically crit/spec NM is best, but dogpoop to play and u need high CDR gems to compensate the missing swiftness AND if you end up in boundless mana u miss out a lot of dmg. so for me i stick to salvation crit/spec bc I think i have a better uptime.
that is right , that is why you play salvation crit/spec in our version since we don’t have yearning 3 and most people not running lvl 9/10 cd gems

ATM, the most optimal build would be
Nightmare set with - Crit/spec neck, 1 spec earring and crit for the rest
4x3+2+1 with Adrenaline 2 and Peacemaker 1, if you happened to have a 9X-7 adrenaline stone, you can go peacemaker 3 otherwise it’s not this worth
It should make you rn at 1350 crit / 840 specialization, that will both goes up by 70-100 when bracelets comes out
what ??? not at all everyone is switching to peacemaker 3 because it deal the most damage now with shotgun rapid fire . If you have a 9/7 you go peacemaker 1 .
Swift is outdated crap, even with lvl5 gems crit spec out dps swift. Also cdr gems are not as valuable as dps, lvl9 dps gem in any skill will give more dps than lvl9 cd gem on same skill.

Use your brain for a sec, you play adrenaline 3 PM1 if no 9-7 for a 5x3+1 in ancient cause Adre 3 + PM1 > PM3 + Adre 1
PM3 Adre 2 if 9-7 cause PM3 +Adre 2 > Adre 3 + PM2
So without ancien accessorie
4x3+2+1 with Adre 2 and pm1 is better than 5x3 with Adre 3 and pm3 cause you get a whole damage engraving to level 3

Ok buddy GL. I am a bad player and get out dps by Supports too, your knowledge is very high and whatever you play becomes the meta. I just got call from KR GS community and they said they will switch to Salvation as Suleth is playing salvation.
