So my guild currently holds Death’s Hold and our server is being merged on the 28th (fingers crossed it goes well!).
Me and guildies have been looking for information regarding if today’s GvG will still reward gold after the merge or not as the only official information we can find is the line stated on the Official News regarding the merges:
Siege Event will not be available the week of the merge.
Since we seem to have matches scheduled for today I would assume the line refers to next week then but will we still get rewards after the merge if we play today?
Any official response to this would be appreciated
I’m guessing that’s referring to next week since after the merge there would have been 2 guild holding each island and by forcing no GvG the week after the merge the islands would reset and the new combined server will be on equal footing to fight over the islands.
thats why u shouldnt be able to do gvg this week cause the merge is supposedly next maint and the islands ownership refreshes with maintenance not after gvg, thats why u only get the island icon after maint, so if ppl on both server take the island now the ownership goes to them after maint, which would cause 2 guild having it after merge no?
yeah that makes sense that it resets so nobody owns it but then why would they disable it for the week after? or i guess this is their way of making the island neutral since if nobody can do it nobody will own it
