Ok, let’s just assume it: you’ve lost the bot war, they invest lot of money and talent to surpass you and they already have done it. Cool.
Now, why don’t you try to negotiate with them? Build some dedicated servers where they can bot and trade gold to other servers without fear of being prosecuted, that will keep them aside while players can enjoy the game. This won’t end inflation, but will at least get rid of the annoying queues without resorting to methods like asking and validating national ids, phones or other mechanisms that could move more people away from the game.
Of course this is not ideal, but this is probably the quickest and most effective way of ending this problem, at least in a short term.
