Honing and release rates

I have 5 t3 characters, and I can’t keep up with this release schedule, because I pity 80% of my hones and those that I don’t pity require 80%+ artisan energy.
Either balance the release schedule around the “true” honing requirements AKA pity or balance the hone rates so I don’t get to see everyone in my guild reach the required ilvl for content 2-3 weeks before I do despite me grinding dailies on 4 goddamn t3 alts.

I’m sick of being sidelined every raid release and I will seriously quit if this isn’t the last time it happens. I am bordering on burned out on the daily grind because it feels completely unrewarding.

Stop punishing people with bad rng for god’s sake.

You can always take a break and do rest bonus and you don’t have to do content first day.

And how exactly does that help me reach content when my guild roster does?

If I want to play with my guild I have to do it on the first day. And with the amount I’m grinding I should be able to. I’m grinding 5x more than some of the guildies do and they’ve already reached 1460.

Sorry to hear it’s really rare to meet someone who pity on 80% of all the hones and rest 80% artisan energy. Your’e probs like 1/50000-100000 players if you get that across 5 characters

I would very much like to catch a break. The game feels like complete ass when a week’s worth of grind on 5 characters amounts to 1 successful hone (and not necesserily even that).
And i need 3 more to reach hm vykas. My guild doesn’t even run normal vykas because everyone’s 1460+ already, even the ones with no alts.

Have you been using the solar mats to boost success rate? You should always be full juicing at this point.

been saying this since day 1:

putting MASSIVE rng on the main progression system that also enables you to even start doing progress is NOT a good system overall.

but sadly it creates a lot of FOMO and is very lucrative.
nothing will change sadly … the only thing that we need is to finally catch up to KR and then have enough time between content-releases to gear up (just like KR does and thats why people like lost ark as it respects your time as a f2p in KR/RU but not in the NA/EU at the current time)

@redsprite000 use a calculator … full juice is WAY too expensive for armor and even for weapon most of the time (for the average scenario).
if you get lucky, you just do no matter if you juice or not, same for bad-luck…
but blindly using full-juice is DEF. costing you a LOT more on average (esp if your luck tends to be on the bad end)

Its basically only double the cost for double the success chance. But you have to understand 5% vs 10% is a huge mathmatical difference.

Plus you also get double the artisans.

I never hone without full juicing. You might ask how? I sell all my unbound mats and buy the solars and tap that way. Just the artisans you get offsets the costs.

Remember this also 3 taps of 5% is a lot lower of a success rate than 1 tap of 10%.

If he can tap 3 times a day itll be more worth it for him to sell his stuff and leave enough for 1 tap but at double the chance.

i get what you mean but mathematically the ONLY way to talk about it in a somewhat general way is if we talk about the “average scenario” and for that, full-juice is a massive waste of value.

you could still artisan a +20 weapon upgrade with full juice on every tap (25 taps that is) or you could one-tap it without any juice.

going by probability, if you tend to be on the unlucky side of people overall going for full-juice will most likely cost you more than just tapping it without juice.

Thats alrdy accounted for because solars give you the artisans.

So look at it this way you get artisan+double the chance.

dont have the prices in my head but you also double (might be slightly less or more depending on market values) the cost of the tap. sure its worth if you succeed at <50% artisan but if you dont, you already wasted a lot of value.

rng and probability sadly never are “straight forward” to account for.

and most people had this happen:
tap weapon a couple of times with full-juice → all fail
tap it one more time without juice cause you ran out → boom success
in that case you wasted all the juice for noting, but since its rng you can never know beforehand…
thats why im saying, going for average scenario with current prices (at least on EU central) going full-juice on weapon isnt worth it most of the time (using some juice defo is tho)… for armor, not worth for average scenario at all.

You double the cost for double the artisan + chance to succeed. What part of that do you not get???

The strategy is to sell your extra mats buy solar for the slight increase in proficiency.

average scenario with “optimal juice”

worst case scenario with “full juice”

you could almost do 3 upgrades with almost no juice if your luck is average compared to going full juice for 1 upgrade.
with current prices, going full-juice no matter what is NOT worth it if you tend to be on the unlucky side of people…

if you are more on the lucky side, sure juice will help you even more.

but you cant say “just go full juice”.
also as far as i remember full juice doesnt double the artisan, it gives you about 50-70% more.

as with above example: weapon from 19 to 20
no juice: 39 taps to artisan
full juice: 26 taps to artisan
thats not double artisan.

so your math isnt adding up… by almost doubling the price but not getting the same increase in percent for artisan gain, you will in the long run lose value

also, it doesnt double your chance either at the higher levels, it only adds a MAX of the BASE-chance!
so on the 19 to 20 example juice will always give you 3% but after a few taps your initial 3% will go to 6% while juice will remain at 3%.
so max-chance with no juice is 6% and max-chance with full juice is 9% (not 12)

losing you even more value

if my lazy ass can hit 1430 a week or more before the release of vykas then anyone can.

i didnt have good luck and i pitied pieces along the way, i have 1 t3 alt that i barely play and i slowed down too 2 hours (or sometimes less) a day after i rerolled and hit 1370 on my new main.

sometimes you get unlucky, but it doesnt mean everyone should suffer because you pissed off a nonexistent god of luck.

you are not being punished because you cannot do content on day 1.

i was 2 weeks late for argos phase 1, i was 2 weeks late for normal valtan. this is the first time ill be on time for a boss and honestly if i had been late i wouldnt of cared.

why do i not care? because when i finally made it to argos it was still fun. same for valtan, i didnt lose out on anything. the content was still there for me too enjoy.

the way the game is currently balanced is more then fine. if you cannot handle your own FOMO then you shouldnt be playing this game.

The content isnt going anywhere.
