Honing buff from 1415 -> 1460

Recently Korea received a permanent honing buff/cost reduction buff through stronghold research for items levels 1415 up to 1460. Is there any chance that we also get this buff in EU/NA? Or are we gonna have to wait until we are at a similar game state as Korea? (Between akkan release and theamine release)

I mean our main characters are now able to reach up to 1580 if I’m not mistaken and the help we have right now is up to 1415, which is kinda low for alts. 1460 definitely wouldn’t hurt as we would be able to do some more content like valtan/vykas hard and get to work on relic gear. And obviously the honing rates are abysmal for us to do it on every alt. For F2P players and people who don’t have the time to play all day alt progression is kind of a pain.

Please take this into serious consideration Smilegate/Amazon

im sure when we have akkan we will get thi9s aswell, thats estimate just 9-12 month

thats ok i think

at the current state i think its ok like this , thats it is an investment to push further 1415

Eh I don’t know, like I said if someone plays 24/7 or spends a lot of money it’s possible to pushe them all to 1460 but if not then I don’t know. There are also other costs to consider like gems, main upgrades etc. Kinda hard

kr also has nerfed gold for the early raids, not good for us

u know, the honing buff could be good i agree. But if u think about we current have a lot of things that improve the honing.
THE BOOKS!
The current event and the brel shop have the books that are WEEKLY that increase the % of the rates
If i not mistake. The event goes until 1460 and the brel shop goesw up to 1490
So iits not that hard to hit 1460

i think there are some diffrent consideration how to build your roster and or how you wanna play the game .

first things first
a roster of 6 chars which you basically equilly push up to 1430 is the best and most cost effective way atm
and then after you did that then you push your main

so if you spent all your gold and mats for your main before you pushed alts to 1430 , you lost alot of potential , but also sure its not done from now to then . its a time investment.

pushing from 1430 to 1460 with event books and that stuff is then the way how you cost effective push your alts.
if you know the content you dont need 5x3 and lvl 7 gems for a 1460 char and doing all the content . 4x3 and lvl 5 gems ist more than enough ( sure gatekeeping could be a problem , but thats not the theme here right ?

if you spent your mats and gold for 4-6 weeks into your 5 alts which are 1415 you reach easy the goal to get them to 1460 , but not all at the same time, push one at the time

every alt take atm 12 weeks to make profit from that investment , means after 3 month an alt your pushed from 0-1460 give your extra gold/mats for your main
from 0-1490 ist 5 month that your have that back

so there are 3 ways in my opinion , dont play alts above 1430 to make your main stronger , which is timewise more effektive
or if you like playing your account as a whole push that characters you like and play them

or invest time money gold what so every make yourself a strong roster as fast as possible and a few month later it snowballs that hard , that you dont need to spend alot of time and money/gold whatsoever

thats what i did in summer , i pushed 8 characters as fast as possible to 1460 , and now i dont have to consider how i get stuff for my main , and only play what i like… im not even doing every raid with my alt

( also the guys you see which packed roster mostly dont invest time in their alts they invest time into the market place to increase their gold and with that time they spend , i personally doing that 30 minutes daily , you can make so much more gold than doing raids with alts you dont like)

I certainly don’t play 24/7 ( i play rested only) and i don’t spend real money and all my chars are 1460+. Three are even 1490+. Use express events and power passes and you will get there.

Western LoA will get the same honing buff as soon as it reaches the comparable status (levels, raids, all the main content in fact).
It’s not the time yet. And it won’t be for MANY months.

We’ll 24/7 is a figure of speech. What I meant to say is that I don’t have a lot of time to play especially on weekdays and not every day. All of these tips that u guys provided require to actually do your dailies, your weekly raids etc in order to generate the gold that is required in order to slow and steady pump up your roster. Once you get there it actually feels nice but until that point u don’t have enough gold to keep up with with all the expenses that u need for main and progressing your alts. Especially when prices go up all the time, books are hitting all time highs (grudge around 20k in my server), blue crystals and other stuff as well. Also another requirement imo is that u must have been playing from release in order to be at that level. I do know people in my server that have all of their roster at 1500+, but ik they have played since the beginning and tons of hours per day. When u farm all week just to be able to have 4-5 upgrade chances at these abysmally low chances it certainly doesn’t feel nice

I know that some people don’t need it, but there are new players that started recently and also people with not a lot of weekly time to do all their dailies and all their raids. The way the game is structured is that if you don’t do all your content in all your characters you get left behind, I think there are TOO MANY things to do each week, like needlessly many. I get that the company wants to make you play the game more but this is too much content. And since the difference between new content and the 1415 mark is kinda far away I believe it would help a lot of players if the buff went up to 1460. At least help us a little. 5% chance is not sane. And there’s still a long way to go after that to reach newer content.

All I’m suggesting is that they take it into consideration. Would help lower leveled players a lot.

Yeah, I think that nerfing gold in Valtan and Vykas was the reason they removed gold cost for honing up to 1460. Otherwise they probably wouldn’t do it. And they nerfed gold, because they want high ilvl people to do top raids, not just smash low ilvl stuff. So essentially they fixed one “problem”, creating new one and somewhat fixed that second one with honing cost reduction.

Resume: Sit and wait for 2024

No offence, but then you should choose a game which is suitable for you. It works much better than persuading gaming companies to bend their game for your purpose. A game which aims on players with different possibilities.
(Dear BMW, would you be so kind and upgrade my M5 which I recently bought to maintenance and fuel costs comparable to Toyota Aygo? I’m not such a rich person you know…)

I personally think that it wouldn’t hurt them to give us the honing buff although the game has other more serious issues to take into account first (bots, dc’s). As for the buff i saw some posts about not getting gatekeeped if u know the mechs and stuff to which i totally disagree. Ppl will always look for the highest possible gear for players to take into their party and if u are mostly investing into your main you will have issues finding a party to do a raid. If you want to efficiently earn money from raids you have to spend time and money at the current state of the game. Books are helpful for sure but there are other aspects of the game (like stones and pheon costs) that make your life harder when trying to push a character to a viable state. Finally i believe that the most suitable mechanism for a game like this is to help players reach the exact level just before the levels of the end content start. That being said and talking into consideration that the end game is Clown and Brel, i believe that the 1460 honing buff is a good and efficient help for players that don’t want to spend their whole day in front of the pc and still compete in the money making.

1460 is easy given all the honing materials already provided to us from weekly events, trials, etc.
