It is not though. Of course not all people are the same as the ones that were complaining but you get the point. No one was asking for the global buff. This is some fantasy you created to suit your narrative.

This thread’s point is the community was complaining because we didnt get the stronghold buff. Amazon answered for the stronghold buff. Now we get people complaining that they need 1460.

I dont know man. I was in almost every thread that was asking for the stronghold buff saying that they delay it because not many people are 1460 and they would complain.

So no help for anyone under 1460 ilvl? Rip Cant even get over 1420 as a completely free to play player but we get help for ppls alts? Makes a lot of sense, so much sense that my mind is melted. Some of us cant play excessive hours or afford to spend money on the game and this update is just 1 big full disappointment, time to walk away from this waste of time

New Stronghold Buff - Limited Use!

So they announce the new Stronghold Honing buff BUT its only for mains who have reached 1460 before the bonus kicks in. Why would they do this ilevel when most normal players aren’t at this level. Why even restrict it, make is so any Character @ 1370+ gets the bonus to 1415.

You should stop expecting feedback from thousands of people to share one voice, or ever be completely satisfied.

You should interpret and understand feedback in terms of what makes sense, or you think is the best decision.

Note: I am not doing this for you. In fact, I highly doubt you would see reason. But I do hope others seeing it would be more reasonable than you.

And this here is the crux of the matter, isn’t it?

You think the whole community is one homogenous mass.

It is not.

You have multiple subgroups of people. You have the whales (not that big a presence, but they are there), you have the casual f2p btw players that play 15h a day since launch, you have the newbies that just started playing a month ago and many many people in between those states.

When they announced that the stronghold honing buffs would not be in the update, you have the upper gearscore portion of the players up in arms. Since well, this is a direct him to them.
(Note: not everyone of a high gear score was upset. Some people just don’t care enough about these kinds of details that they find inconsequential)
(Note 2: people didn’t necessarily have to be high level in order to be in support of the stronghold honing buffs. After all, they help get more characters to 1415)

But you also had a different group of people, let’s call them “Deniers”. People that weren’t close to 1460 and that felt it was extremely justified that the stronghold honing buff would not come.

Note that many of those people didn’t ask instead for a global buff. They just wanted the high levels to not get any higher. I can imagine that they felt quite a bit of FOMO.

As is usual when you have conflicting opinions, you could see a kind of “battle” going on between the deniers and the high levels. A high level would make a post begging AGS to add the buffs. A denier would make a post begging AGS to not add the buffs.

Well, it seems that the high levels won this battle and actually got AGS to listen to them (which is quite the miracle, considering past experiences).

But now there are people complaining! What happened?

Well it’s simple. The deniers are simply still complaining about the existence of the honing buffs, perhaps in a futile attempt to get AGS to reverse their decision.

TLDR: Nothing out of the ordinary is going on. The community isn’t some sort of whining child complaining about everything all the time. There are simply multiple parts of it and they don’t agree with each other.
