can lost ark add a feature that transfer those lower tier honing material to current tier for bound items plz such a waste when i was tier 2 and complete a quest and it still give me a bunch tier 1 honing material

there is no system in LA right now for this. For the Future save up every chest and every bag you get. Only open stuff you really need.
As for the rest like quests etc. keep your eyes open if you accept a quest it always tells you what rewards you will get after the completion 
ive got many T1 Mats on my main so i know the struggle and pain (arround 4k of each cause fml) after hitting t2 i bit my ass for being that dumb ^^
Yeah i also would recommend to hold on them for now and just place them in your chest, i am sure in future updates we will be able to use them for our roaster
Its not a thing unfortunately but even making them roster bound instead of character bound would alleviate most of this problem.

I have the same problem and advise not opening the chests, but putting them in your roster storage.
I found out too late that once open they become character bound…
