When Valtan came out in JP, they got a 1390 Hyper Express time to actually give those much needed honing buffs, like other regions got by nowā¦ Or they can just continue to be greedy and watch the game die.
While it is absolutely correct that the Steam charts do not always represent the truth (or absolutely accurate numbers), the important point here is, that you (as in AGS/SG) should make the real numbers more transparent.
Because the thing is, that you let these speculations go on for weeks and months now and always keep just saying ātrust us, we have the real numbersā. Iād also like to pint out, that Roxx mentioned I think back in April, that you can differentiate between real users and bots in your monitoring.
And you also have to acknowledge that just a few weeks ago SG proudly postet something about 800k+ happy active users, which pretty much correlated to the Steam charts at that point and included all the bots.
So why can SG post something about the userbase but AGS not?
Iād understand if it is because of stock market stuff (maybe SG did it exactly because they wanted stocks to go up), but this seems to be more of a marketing decision on the part of AGS. Because the numbers are in fact pretty much close to what Steam is showing and everyone can deduct from that.
And especially if you can really differentiate between real players and bots, why did SG make such a statement, which is clearly false?
Like in many many other threads discussed: please finally stick to your words and be more in your communication with the community. Because as of now it simply seems, that you really enjoy all this negativity fed through all the speculations and escalations.

Just to give you a nice comparison, which doesnāt have to do anything with LA but shows what transparency can do:
- a train I was in got stuck on the weekend in the night
- the train was packed full of people and it got really hot
- for over an hour we got no info at all what was happening
- no wonder the situation escalated completely and almost got out of hand (people pulling emergency triggers and so on)
- the minute someone finally told us about the reason for the delay, everyone calmed down
- now you could say: maybe officials didnāt know what was happening either > wrong, there is a publicly available API where you can see the train info and the info was there, it was simply not communicated over the official channels
This example kinda resembles the situation we have with AGS and communication. Not only in LA but also back in the days with NW and so on.
And I donāt get it what your management is doing/thinking.
This is not a criticism and what you are doing as CMs or Mods in general. It is just the thing that you keep on saying to us, that you want to improve the feedback to the community and be more transparent, when nothing is really changing. And yes, change takes time, especially if you want to evaluate all your counter measures against bots and so on.
How hard can it be to post something like āIn April we banned X bots, in May we banned Y bots in a second large ban wave. During these month we could see, that we pretty much kept a stable playerbase of around 200k daily active users and keep on monitoring the fluctuations. We also hear your concerns in reagrds to low server populations and are closely working together with SG. But server transfers/merges are a highly complicated and delicate matter. Therefore please donāt expect any results in the near future, as these features do not exist right now and are only the first steps are being tested in KR.āā¦oh wait, it is not complicated at all, I wrote this in a few seconds!
I know that not everyone will be happy with such a a posting and still keep on ranting. But Iād say that many people would be really happy to get more open communication by you.

Can we have a specific official news, with at least a rough numbers for PERMABANNED RMTers :
Like : we PERMABANNED over 10k players that did RMT.
You can find many posts from players that spent more than 1000$/ā¬ that dont want to pay a single ā¬/$ until they see such message.
PS : dont make the mistake of an announcement like : we took action against 10k players.
This kind of announcement could just mean you gave 3 days bann and that could make the situation worse.

Event and tower got me 1302 to 1340 and I had to use my own saved up shards for thatā¦no way its a 1370 as 1340-1370 is a crazy amount of mats neededā¦
I just recently did this too, just to get decent jewelry on my 1370 zerk to earn more GHL for my main to try and hit 1415ā¦ 5-6 hours non stop choresā¦ had enough for 1 hone with all extras maxed, 30% chanceā¦ failed and logged off for the day.
Think its worth me doing that all again 2morrow?

If you want to be most geared individual , you will need a fortune and even if you get all that , socialization in this game is 0 . Most of people use callouts in chat like āhey Bardā and similar , no1 knows about anyone , who is the most known or best pve or pvp guild like we all knew is some other games . I remember in some games , you could figure out whoāsāwho just by seeing their gear I you knew that they were a bad ass raider or pvp God and not just another rich kid ā¦
Good old days of just simple pay and play , hard work inventing own builds and tactics and not having millions guides that spoil the fun of exploring ā¦
Having the ilvl doesnāt mean you are prepared, there are other requirements, like engravings and such.
Donāt think you are prepared just because you got to the ilvl. Gear your char properly to get in groups and take some time to watch videos to learn the fight.
Itās not gatekeeping, itās logic. Nobody wants unprepared and lazy players in their groups and getting to 1415 or whatever the ilvl content is for x content just to expect to be picked in groups when your character is poorly geared, yeah, you might have the ilvl but that doesnāt mean you are prepared and if you donāt understand that you have a big issue; Not only in Lost Ark but in any game you end up playing.

Theyāve had months to tell us they will perma ban RMT, they refuse to and now they will just ignore any specifics as you are aware.
Iāve kinda given up, to use wow as an exampleā¦
The game was good until it wasnāt and as soon as people are having more frustration then fun they will go somewhere else to have fun.
Lost ark kinda messed up right off the bat, most mmo players want to play the whole game that every other region has, they donāt want to feel left behind or different, the only things that should change are the currencies and english translations and usually games are released world wide without months/years delay between regions.
The bots being ignored in the west for as long as they did was a huge mistake, a very large portion of players quit playing and im sure a bunch of new players didnāt even get into the game before they quit.
Classes being stalled is a huge mistake, people understand the way the game works and how much costs and effort are involved into reaching the higher ilvls, they want that time and energy spent on the class they know other regions have access to but because AGS would like to drip feed content in hopes that will continue to bring players back like seasonal games or xpacs with other mmos, which in turn makes more money then releasing all the content now.
Im sure they got people doing the math on how many people are spending money, how much and how often and what the best release plan would be to maximize on profit.
The removal of the legendary skins only to be released later after all the crappy skins have been released and purchased because there was no other choicesā¦ not suss at allā¦ cough.
RMTer are still roaming around im sure, no idea if they getting perma banned or not.
Perhaps someone can befriend an RMTer, report him, remove him from ignore, befriend him if possible, see if any action is taken, see if they ever return.

RMTers are just poor, otherwise they would buy legit.
Ive spent at the start a good sum and stopped buying from AGS once RMT started to be a problem
No point in investing of how poorly it got handled.
