I am going to e blunt, but after reading the wall of text, I am not any wiser of what AGS is going to do with the game in the short term.
I know things will eventually be released, it’s the when that is not entirely clear in the statement.
Let me point out that LA problems are self inflicted:
- T3 should have never be released at launch.
- Argos should have never be released so soon.
Those two mistakes caused all the complaint from players because they cannot understand why T1 and T2 difficulty is set as end game, while the actual end game is T3.
Technically in the West we have 3 endgames, while the other regions had only 1 endgame at any given time which were phased out once the new one came out.
Is it too difficult to understand that T1 and T2 needs to be way faster than T3 to conquer?
People who are in T3 at the moment are (mostly):
- People who played KR and RU and know the game inside out
- People who spends lot of money (whales)
- People who play 14 hours a day and make heavy use of Alts
The rest of us are stuck in T1 T2 with a big carrot dangling in front of our face (T3) but no hope to reaching it in a reasonable amount of time without reaching for our credit card.
I get it, this is the point of the game, but don’t make it so obvious that the average Joe with a bit of common sense will be put off the game altogether.
You released T3 and Argos because you knew the whales would pay to skip T1 and T2, and you were right of course.
Now that they are all T3, can we, the humble peasants, get all the catch up mechanics they have in other versions?
In other MMORPGS every time they release new endgame there is a catchup mechanics.
If you wait until May to implement it, it might be way too late, and no, Grand Prix and Guardian Raids are not the solution.
If you want LA to be a niche game then you are going the right direction. Otherwise change direction, and fast.
We want T3 to be hard and challenging, not T1 and T2.
