its pretty bad tbh would recommend switching to shard unas instead of leapstone if you are not planning on honing anymore
You do Leapstones in Unas Task and use it to hone your gears. Those Leapstone that you get in Guardian Raids, you sell those to buy shards or other honing mats.
Even when only using bound leapstones?
I don’t plan on using the tradable leasptone neither buying shards, that’s why i’m asking if shards run out first than the bound leapstones, if yes so i think i will change my una’s to shards.
hhmmm, probably you should be fine with only bound materials
I’ve heard that right now for us (at least if you’re leveling to 1490 and staying there, like a sane person would… says me with 15% Artisan’s on my +21 weapon) leapstones are the main block (especially if you go the bound only route)
However once Ancient gets released that gets switched to Shards, mostly because of the new tiered leapstones
If you feel like you’re done with honing and/or have a good amount of leaps saved up, then start going the Shards route since you’ll be getting the new leapstones with Brel
However if you need leaps more now for honing then go for those to “finish” your character til Brel
I’m personally doing Shards myself since I’m just tossing a few hones at my weapon whenever I can, however I’m doing the new island Una so I can get that soul right now, then switching back
It’s not bad up to +20 brel/ancient gear, but 21-25 is really bad. It gets slightly better with Akkan 10-20, but they really need to add t4 shards.
They go down, because your gear goes to +13.
We will come to a point where it will take longer to reach higher Ilvl, because you will have too few shards.
This is also the point where you should choose a main, because it will be very expensive.
I started for example doing shard dailys and nomore leapstone on my main and main alt.
It really depends on the pace we get the content. In KR it has not been as big of an issue as people relate it. They’ve seen whales swipping thousands for shards, pushing 1600 for Akkan, but they don’t realise that these whales ARE NOT DOING DAILY. They’re whales, they don’t bother with dailies.
If you are doing your chaos dungeons every day, you should not have issue with shard especially if you funnel the “roster bound” one (i.e. the one you get with event shopt, Abyss trials etc…) on your main character. Your bottle neck will almost certainly always be leapstone, unless you really get lucky with honing or don’t do chaos every day.
It’s called the whale-zone so good luck
everything that requires time and effort is a whale zone now. Nice logic.
1,555M on average for G1/2 hard to G5/6 hard (so 1540 to 1560)
+16 to +20 is 6,6M shards.
Ancient Weapon +24 to +25, feeding costs are 720k shards. Every single click is 14.4k shards.
Now, this is the obviously the highest case we can reach. But if we assume to start at half of that around +19/+20, we have an estimate idea of what we will have to deal with.
Holy guacamole. Time to switch to shard unas immediately.
What i am not looking forward too with the upcoming updates with Brel is the honing costs.
We basically get an exponential increase to marerial requirements and material cost but we dont get a similar increase to the aquisition of both gold and materials.
So you know from 1400-1500 you have a fixed cost you can calculate on maxroll with average scenerio. With our material and gold income that cost kind of makes sense. With the brel update the cost for 1500-1580 or 1600 icreases substantially and it is not balanced with an increase in our material aquisition or a reduction in honing cost or gold aquisition.
Basically everything gets more expensive but our income does not scale equivalently. This to me is bad design, opinions obviously differ on that but i feel with soft resets to materials we should see the same progression timeline and path as the previous soft reset, not get more expensive, take longer and not adjust our income accordingly.
Now wirh all that said take what im saying with a grain of salt. My opinion comes from just visually seeing honing and CDs gaurdian raids and legions in KR. I havent done hard calculations on the above because i cant find a resource that calculates average scenerio Brel gear honing.
To me this design philosphy will bleed a lot of people while also solidfying a small and dedicated portion of the player base.
Another thing worth mentioning. If SG and AGS decide to release Akkan sooner than it was released for KR after brel release then our regions needs an adjustment to the honing or material costs and aquisition to allow our region to have an equivallenty progressed roster of characters to that of the KR players roster ar the time of Akkan release.
If we get akkan in 6 months then adjustments should be made because KR went an entite year and was able to progress their main characters and 6 roster to a certain level in that time. If we dont get thar same time frame then adjustments need to be made to account for the faster release of Akkan.
If not then it will just be common place for people to have only 1-2 characters Akkan ready vs KRs 3-6. It wohkd creare a very different in game dynamic if thats rhe case but they can for sure pursue that dynamic if they thibk it will work.
Anyway ruats my 2 cents. Ive been worrying about brel update ecen since i seen the akkan release in KR, maybe my concerns are pointless but they exist so… shrug.
I think when zeal’s was going to +25 for 1650, the last level was like 280k shards for maxing the XP on the single piece of armor.
I think the tough thing about the honing is the cost per tap on brel gear. Its a huge cost per tap with honing changes of 5-1%. Thats astronomical.
The same time, you really dont need to go all the way to 1% honing chances either. LIke Current gear, you ONLY need to go to +20. Thats it. going above +20 is on the player, but +20 is the ONLY requirement for the next tier of gear which resets the honing rates again. The design intent is to get to +20, do Bralshaza G1 and G2, use the gear you get from that the reset your honing rates and free ilvl boosts to push higher into G3-6. But because people have FOMO, they have to level gear to +22 and moan about 1% honing rates when its not required. Same goes for the next tier of gear after bralshaza.
Like how many people took thier gear to +16 to +20 at T1 or T2, same principle at work here.
I think it will be easier to get gold thanks to bots. Ancient jewelry will be sold for 2 million or more gold, and whoever gets a perfect ancient quality jewelry can become rich for a short time. +20 full gear set will automatically make you 1590 and allow you to make all your end game content. but you can try to reach higher level to be overgear to finish the contents more easily but the + honing rate doesn’t really get worse up to +21. After +21, after using juiece, the cost per + increases and there is a 1% success rate 1750 gold per attempt and a lot of resources. this lasts until +23 the cost of +23 to +25 is astronomical. and unless you are lucky you have to go through a 3 4 month fundraising event or make a fomo and swipe so after +21 you need like 300 attempts to be succeed without using any juice
