I wonder if they decided to not do that again as it blew Lost Ark out of the steam top 10.
Can you please provide proof that we have that many bots?
Spoiler
I guess not.
I dont see anything in a video game as a slap in the face mainly because i realize this is only a silly game. Sure, bots suck but you have to realize they will always be a problem in a game set up like this one is. If it were an easy problem to fix, they would have done it already.
500k people just went on vacation that week entirely by coincidence.
It was summer. Most working adults were on vacation and traveling during that time. I know I was.
But, how to distinguish between a bot or a player that exchanges the chest
Maybe if they change the chest to rewarding a random number of pheon (1 - 100 for example), that would do the trick, cause pheon is no use for bots anyway
I’ve played almost every bigger mmo there were out there for years in and I have never seen anything like this. It probably isn’t easy to solve, also because it’s an adapted western version but I shouldn’t really care about such matters as a customer. As most customers say to the it consultant, “I just want it to work”![]()
NO you can’t have your cake and eat it.
if you want to stop bots from getting UNA gold the solution would technically be to…remove una gold so you screw over players too.
like what other solution can you think of that can filter bots without needing a real person to differentiate bots from real players who turn in UNA tokens for gold? it’s practically impossible.
so if you want a solution to a problem…you yourself should come WITH the solution.
Otherwise you’re just as useless as AGS at tackling the problem.
It’s like screaming that something needs to be done which everyone knows but leaving it to others to come up with the solution while you sit back and keep screaming that there’s an issue when everyone knows that already.
yes this. same with my question up there that OP choose to ignore
how to distinguish that the character claiming the una chest is controlled by real player or by bots?
I’m not ignoring it, just you guys need to calm down now cause there is no way a customer should be coming with any solutions. You’re either very young or haven’t ever worked in a business before. Not trying to insult you, but that’s just how it is.
so you don’t know
well let me tell you
the answer is no, they can’t distinguish between it’s a player controlled or bot controlled that exchange the una chest
just like the rapport reward
if you want botters can’t claim una chest
the only way is to delete the una chest or change the reward to other than gold
which will hurt the player that needed gold from una chest, just like the rapport gold reward that they remove
good, now you know
i’m a customer too, but i provide options to the dev for them to discuss or consider, which is changing the reward to pheon instead. pheon is no use for bots. but very2 usefull for real players. if we don’t push solution to the dev, they could just choose the easy way out and delete it or change it to something like card xp pack, which is kinda useless for players.
From my understanding you could be a bot and why are you able to collect una token gold chest just cause you say you are real? Bots are going around saying they are real too? lol. So how can one tell if someone is a bot or not w/o checking their IP address and etc to confirm they are one. With the options to lvling up to t3 legion raid you’ll see a lot of new players with low lvl SH, roster and w/mokoko seeds. So that idea is out of the picture of what is consider a bot. I wouldn’t want to make a mistake and ban every bots players consider “obvious” w/o confirmation. That’s just asking for a lawsuit.
Perhaps creating a binding gold category where it can only be used on certain things such as honing would not disadvantage real players because it will be consumed in honing and cannot be used by bot to transfer out.
The problem isnt AGs ignoring this situation, they just dont have a good solution without affecting their playerbase negatively. Look at every other MMO games out there, every money making method are all plague with bots. EX: OSRS, WoW, TF2 and many others.
OSRS is one of the most botted game comparable to Lost Ark, but their anti-bot prevention system is way more sophisticated, which leads to bots have to upgrade their bot script to the point where it is really really hard to differentiate them from real players to bots without an actual person to identify them. They have been banning bots everyday and still have a lot of bots.
you can say AGs need to upgrade their bot prevention to the point it can eradicate most bots, but as you know SG and AGs are very inexperience in dealing with this. Even if AGs and SG created the most formidable anti-bot prevention system. Bot makers will find ways to circumvent this system.
Behind RMT are small agile “companies” that can make a huge pile of money with top people from the industry because they pay top salaries and AGS / SG who pay industry standards, have to make their investors happy because they earn “all the money” and are also super slow in their decisions because “45 million people” are involved. Garnish that with a F2P game plus the worst AntiCheat solution in the world and you can’t win the “war”.

What an amazing forum community…flagging me for saying it’s AGS’s responsibility and not the customers to find a solution to the bot issues /slowclap.
Please provide ANY other online game that doesn’t have bots in it that operates in any western country… oh wait there aren’t any.
also
technically not an AGS issue it’s a SGR issue. AGS only publishes the game they don’t develop it. A publisher just markets the game and gives it a path to “retail”
Nothing they can do unless they lock all the gold new players get till one of their characters is 1460+, but then how are they suppose to get acc/gear. Bots can also just bot chaos dung and sell lvl 1 gems for scraps and pool it together right now.
do you realize that you are one of the people responsible for them to probably take away una gold altogether and implement the paragon tokens instead? Its a fucking MMO dude, theres bots, deal with it - the inflation is already coming down a lot on EUC servers and I begin to ask myself if people are literally realizing that prices are that high because theres people who actually put in the work, play and maintain 6 characters on a weekly basis who are 1460+ by now and actually make like 75k gold a week by doing weekly activities. 4500 gold from una tokens on a low roll is just a drip on the stone and is meant to get new players going, strip that away from them too and they might aswell just buy a botted account after they honed to 1445 so they can at least reach valtan lol.
