Hi forum
Based on my experience, I think currently scrapper is a class that is very well under-estimated and looked down upon.
Just as a point of discussion, what is really bad about scrappers? I’m maining shock scrapper (another minority), and want to know what can make this class better.
Instead of trying to make a class better, you should film your own gameplay and try to be better. Not a single class is bad in the game, just bad players
It does feel nice since the balance patch, but feel like scrapper needs some proper identity instead of energy bars
Think I can relate to this, the concept of this class seems plain and not standing out - it’s destructions, but not to the extreme as destroyers.
I feel like a lot of martial artists are underestimated. Don’t worry. We will become very strong once we get full relic. Be patient, continue to gear our your scrapper. Get your 5x3, full relic and you’ll see your scrapper really really shine. And people who underestimate you will see. Also, if you are possibly playing shock atm (I like Tai bc of mobility, note alt) it becomes way better with supports fully geared out
Shock scrapper is very good after the patch, I’m 1415 shock scrapper main since the beginning and have 3-3-3-3 Adrenaline, Keen Blunt, Grudge, Shock Training engravings and my fifth will be Cursed Doll. I have always top dps in every content in the game with similar ilvl other characters. ı know taijutsu have faster gameplay but its no brainer i think and why am i choose taijutsu over other fast melee classes like striker/wardancer? And shock can be as fast as taijutsu in gameplay without spirit absorbtion engraving, you just need attack/move speed buffer characters in your party like deathblade, shadowhunter, wardancer/striker + rage rune on 1 or 2 6sec cd skills etc… Shock playstyle is fast enough to be clunky now.
People dont know how to play shock efficiently imo…
I also main shock scrapper. I´m MVP very often with her. 4x3 now feels very strong, not too hard to play. The trick here is to know how to use your damage windows.
The class and spec are totally fine. She may be niche for us, but she is one of the more popular classes in korea for a reason.
Like most MA Classes she is balanced around the relic set. Entropy will give an insane amount of dmg because we use 100% backattacksskills.
If i wanted to improve something? Maybe change chain destruction fist into a “hold” skill so we do not have to use dash to stop it every time.
Personally I feel like all of Scrapper’s animations could be a bit faster by default, just a bit. It feels like you absolutely need spirit absorption to perform as a shock build.
Likewise in PvP, most classes have faster animations than you and have it easy to bumrush and pressure you out of doing much.
Scrapper pvp is all about knockup combos. You can CC lock someone from 100 to 0. But only 1on1. So you just help your team out until you catch someone alone and then go hard on him.
Takes a while to get used to it and needs a lot of prezision… definitely a lot harder to play in pvp than a lot of other classes.
Since the scrapper update, my scrapper has been MVPing left and right, even on Yoho at 1370. Its been a complete day and night difference since. I’ve loved every minute I play my scrapper. Its a hell lot better than my main, GS. and I’m definitely pushing her to 1400+ at some point when I get the mats for it.
You really don’t have the burst for 100 > 0 unless you crit your awakening on a squishy and even then they can dash away once the stun wears off. Catching somebody with the stun can also be very hard since it has no super armor so you need to pre-knockup or get lucky with them messing up positioning.
All your engagement and ranged poke skills have long wind-ups, meaning you can be easily pressured, and your one-trick pony for those situations (chain destruction fist) is easily avoidable.
Often times you also need to waste your charging blow to generate shock while running away.
Like I said, the class would feel and perform much better if the animations were slightly faster, and if their stun had super armor maybe. The stun issue became much more prevalent with Destroyer out as you can’t stop them.
Wtf r u talking about
On the current patch Scrapper is the only OP, way above Sorc
Each time you see a Scrapper he’s MVP.
Not because you don’t see any that it’s under-estimated, it has a basic gameplay, and almost no spell animation, so people don’t really play it.
Huh? Just curious What ilv is your scraper to make this post? Im 1452.5 main taj scrapper
Yday performance:
Before i got relic weapon from clearing this raid
p1 valtan hard - mvp 24%dmg
P2 valtan hard - mvp 23% dmg
After clearing and crafting relic weapon and unlocking 2 set antropy bouns:
Argos p3 - mvp 35% dmg
Deskaruta 1st run: mvp 61% dmg yes i repeat 61% but i think i was with 3 other 1415-1420
2nd run: mvp 41% dmg
Literally got mvp in every single content yday lol so i dont know what you are talking about
Agreed with the above, i am seeing scrappers mvp in t3 Yoho and abyssals oreha/aira hard more often now
I don’t see any issues with scrapper.
I main scrapper in pvp. Not having a reliable sa sucks sometimes, but it forces better positioning and playing to your advantage. You can’t exactly 100-0 someone unless you get some crits and they already wasted their get up. It’s still a mobile class that can apply a lot of pressure or counter play though so I enjoy it.
PvE wise, scrapper is cracked. Like legitimately. I run tai scrapper with adrenaline and ambush. I wouldn’t say that I do as much as a striker in a single hit… But during the charge time of lightning tiger strike I can probably pump out 3-4 skills and do more combined damage. Good mobility, good synergy up time, reliable damage that doesn’t require a buff or stack. Scrapper is fine.
Shock builds seem to do a lot of damage too and they are consistent if you land the skill. Shock has some wind-up so if you miss, you feel it more.
Can you put up your tripods, stats, engravings, gems, etc? We might be able to help more with that. You could be overlooking something. The systems in the game are simple, but it’s a lot and sometimes we miss things. I just realized I was running the wrong tripod on energy release on my soul fist after about a month or so. Big oof.
