I had a lot of fun yesterday. We were 3 guildies and tried Vykas normal mode with PUG. I just watched a guide for the first 2 gates as i expected to not clear the whole thing anyway on release day. Surprisingly we cleared the first 2 gates after a couple of tries and so I had to watch fast a guide for the 3. gate and after a few hours of trying we actually cleared it.
I was so tired in the end… it was past midnight and my head felt all mushy and I even had to work today but it was all worth it. Was so much fun and felt really good to clear it
That is why i love games and raiding.
Went nice our grp did not have that much time we went into normal even tho most of us were HM ready but some were below 1460 so we decided to go NM dont like leaving ppl out…
We wiped a few times since we wanted to learn mechanics in prep for hard mode … And cleared gate 1 sadly had to go off because of work and etc

I joined to random people teams, new team each gate. G1 took about 1 hour to clear, G2 also about 1 hour, G3 2.5h. All on normal mode. In the begining of G3 we were dying on everything, after 2h in most cases all 8 ppl survived to 0hp stagger. That was the most annoying part, she kept charming us. She was very low on stagger, then boom all 6 ppl charmed xD. We were so happy after completing G3, amazing feeling.
On Vykas Hardmode: Gate 1 - 2hs, gate 2 - 45 min, Gate 3 - 3hs. Mostly was dps getting a feel for the normal patterns everyone being consistent. Definitely funneled responsibility into a few people more so than everyone
Started at 11pm and at 2 pm had already finished gate 2. Super easy and understandable if you don’t go in totally blind. Gate 3 will be done soon when I get back home.
Vykas HM cleared with 7 friends + 1 pick up (a support no surprises ;p).
Gate 1: Second group had more demonic phase, the “leader” was unconfortable with Nineveh shot. Few tries required for everyone to fully understand color gate & blue/black mechanic. Definitely harder than Gate 2.
Gate 2: Easiest encounter. Clone chasing is easy with people on the same voice channel. Orb abso can be tricky if you have the “vomit” mechanic just before and miss a timing, but if people write on chat the sequences nothing to worry about. Vykas hit hards but her skills are very predictable, good support can really “cheese” the fight. In full pug, the purple donut could worry me tho.
Gate3: Really well designed encounter. Obstacles are easy to understand, but they requires discipline to overcome. It took us a solid hour to “master” every steps to x55. And nearly 3 more hours for a 0 fail from everyone. A little mistake from someone can snowball hard on this fight.

CAn’t wait for Hell mode to really experience the challenges of this game.
