How do you currently feel about the game?

How so? We got so much for the time the game has been out. Sure you do everything multiple times but I definitely don’t feel that we don’t have content

Because the “so much content” is actually not that much content. The game also follows a mobile gacha way of releasing new content. If you’re coming from other traditional mmos like GW2, FFXIV, etc, Lost Ark can be seen to be pretty barebones. Most of the time in ither mmos, you get an expansion with lots of content that have raids. Every couple of months or so, they get new raids, etc tacked on. In LA, you’re just waiting for new raids. The new continents are only several hours long. Which is stretched out, because each character is forced to go through it.

I like the game, but I’m mostly here for the raids and combat. When something better comes along, LA wont probably have much to hold my attention.

My friend got from 1405 to 1445, dy doing nothing than logging in, collecting login bonuses and maybe doing a chaos dungeon once a week. Idk what this 1370 ceiling is, when the honing is so boosted untill 1415 that it doesnt even really cost anything.

I quit pve content and progression a few weeks ago so for now am only doing arena casually. The classes I want to play aren’t released yet. Amazon is hoping that people like me will come back to the game when their class is out and drop thousands of dollars to try to catch up but that’s not happening.

Ranked pvp might be fun for a while, we’ll see. I’m most likely going to be playing another game when it relaunches fresh servers in december. It’s disappointing because this isn’t a bad game and I saw myself playing it for a long time. Unfortunately they chose to delay artist and reaper and now I’ve almost completely lost interest.

Dude that’s even worse. How do you call logging in for 2 minutes a day playing a video game?

That just shows how bad the game design is… putting all their eggs on legion raids and ignoring most of the content they placed in the game.

It’s like saying ok I’m off to work walking in to the office punching the time card and then heading home afterwards.

Continuing this:

Kuku is an extremely fun raid. I was ready to give up on the game, but this ruthless boss being purely intuitive and reactionary boss with minor memorization involved in G1-2 is excellent prog for the moment

The burnout can be avoided by simply ignoring alts and whatever. I have everything on full rested and I couldn’t really care less since i have 4x 1430 and 1x 1490 at this point. So I just hop in and do whatever after rapports. That helps a lot to enjoy the game tbh, even though it’s a shame to miss out on so many mats

LA dont respect the time
Just a checklist grind simulator, with a little fun on raids
I am thinking back to FF XIV too

No need to bring up kind of this topic to forum - People who hates the game will just whinging when they can just be quite and quit the game in silence.

17 days since I started this thread.

Im honestly starting to feel the burn out. I been playing other games on the side and then I started to ponder, why do I play lost ark? The sense of community? Nah even in a guild, everyone does their own things on alts that are in different guilds and end up selling busses.

The guild content? Honestly, the amount of gold we get in weekly guild activities (gve/gvg) should have been scaling up. Its barely worth it now and there is no incentives to keep going.

The raid content? The same raid over and over that takes 30 min to clear with nothing else to do? I love my main and my main alt but… I got nothing to play on them. Doin 3 unas, 2 chaos and 2 guardians is NOT challenging content to be doing on a main character to prepare for a raid that will be hard for 2 weeks when it comes around in a few months.

There is no engaging activities to do weekly that is challenging or even fun to play as a group. 99% of the loot we find ends up being broken to get meager mats to send to another toon.

Play another alt to enjoy different classes! But… where does it lead to? This is branded as a MMOARPG but… where is the MMO part? the bots I see in the millions that AGS and SG still havent found a clue on how to deal with them (I mean, putting a GM in specific locations would have helped but…).

I did enjoy the game for a while. But I think its time to put this as a side game. Even login in every day for a little bit to do dailies on 2 toons is becoming hard. I dont even touch my other alts on my roster to grind the legion for gold.

Ive spent a fair amount of money in the game but I cant support it anymore. Im not even sure where this leads anymore. Brelz every week with more guardian and more chaos to then do the same guardians and chaos on my alts to feed into a gambling fomo addiction to push my main further.

Dont get me wrong. I enjoyed my time and got my money worth. But it no longers leads anywhere. I did my horizontal, I did my vertical. I had fun. Im looking forward to Brelz and Elgacia. But its not worth the grind anymore. Its worth the weekly login maybe to make sure my main and main alt stays healthy and get my log in bonus and make sure the shareholders of AGS / SG get their bonus on the player count.

It’s not a problem of honing, as a matter of fact I have so many T3 honing materials my inventory is bursting at the seams. What I lack is gear capable of being honed.

Maybe I am a noob, but there seems no way to obtain better gear (1370+) unless one is willing to do abyssal dungeons. I play pretty laid back, and just can’t dedicate to learning abyss mechanics and all that weirdness. Plus, unless you are willing to spend an inordinate amount of time waiting in queue and failing in pub abyss dungeons, it’s mandatory to join a clan with fixed playing hours. Tried that, couldn’t accommodate (my RL is busy), got kicked out.

Point is, the game pretty much tells me “You got this far, now you need to promote Lost Ark University and spend a LOT more time in-game to get further”. I’ll pass.

There should be a “hard” way of obtaining gear, and a “long” way of obtaining gear. Lost Ark has the former, but not the latter. Therefore, I am stuck.

Y’know what, I posted here a few weeks ago with my feelings and I feel like I wanna make an update

Kakul has been going fantastic, still haven’t cleared G3 but got to Bingo which is huge, I have a good feeling this week

The whole Kakul fight has been the most fun I’ve had in a long time, even with G3 being the way it is (it reminds me of a better Argos, more structured but still as much chaos)

No progress on my defensive card set, stupid cards lol

Been doing my Valtan runs but decided to skip 2 Vykas runs this past week, I was just lazy lol

2 alts to 1445 and gonna work on getting the third one there soon, along with getting their relic pieces slowly (then Arty once balance patch)

Main is 1487.5, 30% Artisan’s on last piece, crossing fingers lol ← Got 1490 after 5 hones the other night, hell yeah

I agree 100% and tier 3 goes completely against what tier 1 and tier 2 were. In the beginning stages you had multiple ways to play the game and could gear up how you see fit. Once you hit tier 3 you are funneled into only 1 way to get gear and one way only. No crafting gear, no overland gear sets, or gear from doing other content. You must raid and that is it, and that is going to turn a lot of people off your game, especially game that was built around “play your own way” “play at your own speed” “content for everybody.” At least in the Russian version of the game we could buy gear off the auction house to continue to progress, but Amazon and SG in their infinite wisdom decided to not do that here in the US for whatever reason. If it was to stop bots…lol.

jep T1 and T2 was amazing, loved the islands, the dungeons, the stories

This…!!

They got it all wrong with the hype-induced content that’s related to the class cadence

They don’t understand that this is not a brand new game and they don’t need to advertise classes to cater for a longer content release schedule

People have known LA for a long time and most classes should have been there at lunch rather than being drip-fed into the game to create excitement (it does the opposite, especially after the two months release timeline was set out)

I’m sorry but they lost so many players because of this and they’re wrong thinking those players will come back cos nobody will set aside months of lost content and farming while they’re waiting out they’re favorite classes to main!! This is an MMO, you’ll never get on top of it ever again if you do that and ppl don’t play MMO for causal-style gaming!!!

Those players have moved on and they’re not coming back given how hard it is for new players to deal with the current market condition (inflation and instability)

The game as of now is highly unsuitable for new players and AGS doesn’t wanna directly intervene in the game economy but that’s just another can of worms anyway

I agree, the best time was in the launch of the game, the journey of t1 and t2, a lot of exploration with everyone running around, and the dungeons with people too

Since I’m a long time avid fan of turn based strategy games, some parts of it are very appealing to me. The grind itself (chaos, guardians, unas, etc) are annoying but it’s always like that end of turn button click when you see your income coming in and wondering what are you going to spend it on. I really like the feeling of shift+clicking stones into my roster storage after dailies. This resource management aspect coupled with the fun raids and classes make it a great game for me.

I almost wish it was a harder grind as having 10 clears already on kakul as a one time ark pass purchase only is underwhelming a bit. Maybe some prestige type of collectibles (like emotes - without tying them to runes and stuff like that).

But since I’m a weirdo, I also know the game is killing itself slowly as there’s not much of a market for this. So I’d wish they could lessen the grind and especially help new players. They make enough money from heavy spenders, there’s no need for so many predatory tactics. Dead game benefits nobody.

hmm so any day now :stuck_out_tongue:
jokes aside i dont think they will unplug it assumming economy will not colapse completly.
Take in consideration that servers can be scaled so it wont take to much resources and ppls that stay are so devoted that money will keep their stream
when this version will catch up with KR it wont be that much extra work on SG part to keep it up really (basically just censoring skins  )

Without daily Grind it would be cool.

I remember Gold River once said, that we should ALSO play other games, not just Lost Ark…

Well, then stop designing your game like a damn work. I’ve seen people defending that content, while they have 10h/day on the game… I mean… sure, if I have nothing else to do, go for it. But without the 2h/day grind, this game would be way better …

But without the 2h/day grind… what can LA offer? Guess nothing.
