If let’s say you have 1 second left on your buff and you cast a skill that lasts for 3 seconds (i.e WD’s Blast formation, Sorc’s Seraphic Hail, GS’s plasma bullet), does the entire duration of the skill get buffed?

iirc gunslinger’s catastrophe tripod (3) eternal calamity is affected by your current peacemaker stance so I wouldn’t be surprised if other skills would be affected only for the duration of your buff, hope that helps a bit.

Did some further researches the answer seems to be no.
Afaik the dmg boost is calculated at spell cast not for every single tic.
Likely you release during buff and the whole skill will be boosted, while in the same way, using a multi hit skill and being buffed at half the hits wont boost the other half of the hits.
Im not entirely sure, but i doubt a game can afford real time updated damage calculation ups and downs.
It does snapshot, so if the skill is still going on and the buff expires, the damage updates for your current status,
You can clear see that as wardancer when you use blast formation.
So it s dynamic? Thats very interesting then, considering it s avtually much harder to do then static dmg calculations
You could test in Trixion?
Trixion is viable only with self buff tho

Well yeah, whoever Char gives dmg buff to self and group. Could use awakening which is usually a long cast.
Paladin buffing with aura + godsent cast at the end of it should be perfect
Rising Fire Dragon on Wardancers definitely updates while the Dmg buff runs out.
Not too sure about Attack Speed buffs tho while you’re channeling.
This game definitely does not have snap shotting like other MMORPGs. When the damage occurs, it checks buffs/debuffs in real time.
The answer is no, therefore its counted as seconds. If its counted as per skill, might as well become numbers stacked buff.

First test (with wardancer buff for the whole duration of the skill animation):
Last hit dealt 1,697,269 damage + ~680k damage mini explosions.
Second test (wardancer buff for the initial 2 hits, the buff expired before the 3rd hit landed + mini explosions)
Last hit dealt 1,073,166 damage + ~430k damage mini explosions.
It doesnt stay.
In wardancer, a basic advice ppl say is “On energy combustion, you need 5 hit with WW to recalculate”
if you put a buff, damage goes up, even bleed etc
If you lose your buff, damage goes down.
