I calculated few months back it would be cost me $3300 for full level 10s using the royal exchange, Seven damage and four CDs on NAW and my daily limit to upload was $1000
You can also gain level 10s through gambling Level 9s making the cost even cheaper depends on your luck if you got damage sold repeat, sold etc, when I inspect a player today, 11 months after the game released and I see full level 10s gems I never think they RMT’d
Sure a month after the game released highly probable they RMT but today no.
Bussers are also making 300k-500k per week depending on their region, so it’s possible to get full level 10 legit, it’s nothing special.
Without having ever bought gems, and I don’t play everyday I’m at all lv 7s on 2 chars and all 8/9 on 1(and I only play 4/6 roster). It’s more than reasonable at this point for any $ spender to be full lv10 gems, especially after we went through a very profitable(for RC-Gold exc) inflation and super cheap gems from bots, for the fast market enjoyers.
Gems are no longer a metric for determining rmt this late into the game.
Nothing too special anymore. If I had put the f2p farmed gold in gems instead of 30 skins for multiple subclasses I could’ve full lv 10 gems on 1 or 2 chars by now if not more
11 level 10 gems is 216513 level 1 gems. Lost Ark has been out for 312 days. That’s 694 gems you’d have had to farm per day. That’s not even remotely possible.
The only way to get full level 10 gems through “farming” is to rely on RMT bots massively flooding the AH with gems and destroying their value. So it’s really just indirectly RMTing your gems, someone paid China on your behalf.
Unfortunately this post was quite common even a few weeks after launch and people dismissed it for “Witch hunting”. Defending “Whales” who were clearly exploiters because the game was literately 2-3 weeks old. You cant have a full bevy of level 10 gems that early. At this point combing through accounts, players, etc banning those with suspicious items would not be effective. It’s simply far too late. Maybe they have paper trails for RMT gold, if they RMTed back then they still do it now, its a hard habit to quit. But this is something thats like 10 months too late.
People in general don’t care about P2W if you implement it properly.
What they dont like is when poor implementation has dmg impacts on overall health of the game.
Esthers good implementation
lvl 10 gems that your non spenders will eventually need bad
Whales set the rules dictated how and usually the ones hosting lobbies in this game
Now that 5x3 is “common” its now LOS18/30 1520 or bust
Soon they will be demanding the rest of us get 10 gems and frankly thats when maybe half NA population left so less than 15K players total.
The fact NAW is dead and NAE is catering compared to EU is a joke
considering EU population only 77m greater so NA +Canada population should be somewhat comparable but nein.
The game has been out almost a year now. There have been so many sources of gems, gold, items, market fluctuations. Having level 10 gems for a person who is experienced in making gold in this game is not hard. You need to stop using this as a measure of RMT. In the first few months months yeah that was obvious, but at this point there are far too many legit players that have multiple characters with full sets of 8-9 level gems.
Buy gems off the AH if you want level 10 gems. No I’m not talking about flipping or anything liek that, just invest your gold in gems instead of honing. Guess what? It’s like a bank account. Because gems are always in demand you can usually just sell a gem, buy a lower version of the gem you were using and boom you withdrew money from your gems.
Gems are not special. They are not restricted in quantity. They are easily farmable and the more characters you have the more gems you can get.
a 6 roster does not make 2 level 7 gems. Maybe with the two guild events (which i don’t do), they give 2 level 5. But still should be far. I make 1.5 level 7 gems. with 7 characters.
